A page called @livingwithjoenyc popped up on my IG page. His profile reads as follows: REALTOR JOSEPH BSELIS FINDING THE PERFECT HOME IN NYC. LISTINGS, MARKET TRENDS, AND INSIDER TIPS. LET’S CONNECT. He then has the address to a reputable real estate company he’s not connected to at all since his IG page has his location in Canada not NYC, I found that out through researching his account. The address listed in his profile is as follows: 8508 3rd Ave, BROOKLYN NY 11209 WAST WILLIAMSBURG BROOKLYN. I clicked on the address and was connected to KELLER REALTY EMPIRE. I messaged the page on IG because the content upload is of very low priced beautiful apartments that seemed too good to be true. What got me was the person behind this account articulated with perfect English and seemed very professional which threw me off because scammers usually have very broken English and you'll notice that in their typed responses. Anyway I never got a message back on IC but he then posted a video stating that he can be reached on WhatsApp (716) 427-8509 where you can apply for the apartment you are interested in. He also has his email on his IG page [email protected]. To make a long story short.. I applied for the apartment I was interested in paid the application fee which he said was refundable (350.00), first and second months rent (2,000.000) and a realtor fee (1,000.00). Then he was trying to get me to pay utilities on the apartment so my utilities will be on at time of move in and I said absolutely not until I view the apartment which supposedly the scheduled for this Saturday. I decided to go to the property location early morning on my day off before the so called viewing day because I just didn’t feel right about all this. When I got to the location the windows had open blinds and I could see that the apartment was clearly already rented. I was furious, took pictures of the property and sent it to Joe. I told him if I didn’t get all my money back I’d be reporting in great deal and with all of my receipts the IG, FB, Tik Tok pages created by the to the ScamPulse.com and report him to the authorities. Soon after that I was blocked on WhatsApp. I forgot to mention once you contact him on WhatsApp and ask for the application he’ll send you to a bogus website: https://skywardkwilliamsproperties.com where you should fill out the application and pay the 350.00 application fee. Since I threatened the account with reporting them I notice they removed the chat option. Anyway, every money wiring app they wanted me to make the deposit payments on flagged the numbers glor profiles given to me as potential scam but I did it anyway because they came off so professional. the email for Apple pay I was given was [email protected] and it was flagged as a potential scam. Then they gave me cashtag of someone named Teresa LeMunyan that was also flagged as potential scam. When they figured they couldn’t do it through any of these options they asked me to send the money via Bitcoin to wallet 1Ey39Ned5BZuTP7Dsz4PjvNbFCaBn7vS6W. I am out 3,350.00 and learned my lesson the hard way.. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH PPL ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND IF SOMETHING SEEMS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE… MOST LIKELY IT’S A SCAM.
