Purchased a puppy

I purchased a puppy from this woman Jeanne Vitaro from Skyblueshihtzu and paid 750.00. Suppose to be shipped. She told me that was cost snd puppy would be sent to me. Got a email asking for 650.00 more for shipping fees which she never told me about! She’s a scammer. She would never answer the phone and would want me to text her. Please don’t purchase a puppy from her you will be scammed!

SCAM ALERT continues by “Skyblueshihtzupuppies.com”

We were in the market for a Shih Tzu girl puppy on Nov 9, 2024 Researched online sellers and found Skyblueshihtzupuppies.com who had AKC registered pups. Their selling point was to push that they had to “approve” us as a possible adoption family! The pushed that they had a 50% off sale, so don’t miss out! Communicated for us to select a puppy and provide an advance down payment for $300 using PayPal Friends & Family (non-refundable) to secure a shipment or meeting time. We made the down payment and scheduled a Saturday(11-09-2024) pickup that included final cash payment. Location was; 2139 E Regency Place, Springfield, Mo. 65804, USA.
We traveled from Kentucky, only to find that we had been scammed!
Advice; 1) NEVER use PayPal Friends & Family(non-refundable) unless you know the people. 2) Make sure you talk to the OWNERS(Jeanne) via phone call. If they never answer or cannot answer your questions about their puppies or they cannot speak clear english, you have a high possibility of a SCAM!
FYI; PayPal said this SCAM account is based in California, imagine that!

We were going to purchase a puppy from them. Communicated via email. They wanted us to pay, then fly and deliver the dog to our house. Wanted to use PayPal which we tried unsuccessfully (thank goodness). Then they sent a Venmo account to send the money too. Things seemed sketchy so we done some investigating along with friends and found their scam on the BBB.

Scammer represents themselves to be puppy breeders. I was provided a six page contract and purchase agreement and I was informed that $725 would cover the purchase of the puppy and its Travel related expenses to have the puppy delivered to Florida from Missouri. Having pay the $725 I was subsequently advised that I needed to pay another $925 for Pet insurance. I continue due diligence and that the insurance company that was cited was a Canadian based insurance company who had no knowledge of these people or their operation they were unaffiliated and furthermore do not provide insurance services in the USA.
