This is sad. Fortunately I did not lose any money from them but only because I had lucky timing. I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of hydrangeas from them over the last two or maybe three years and they were always the most beautiful plants delivered right to my door with awesome tracking info. I order from them early this spring with no problems and was so bummed to see the message on their website when I went to place another large order that would have been easily 300+ dollars. Makes me sick.

I ordered 105.00 in plants from this outfit and never received a thing. Like everyone else, when I went to their website, got the message about financial problems. I reversed the charges with my bank and later heard about bankruptcy. Don't companies have to liquidate their stock when in bankruptcy? When did the liquidation occur? Were they liquidating and still pretending to be filling orders/

I ordered 7 hosta plantsfrom shrub bucket .. i specifically ordered white ones as i can get the lavender ones everywhere .. they bloomed a couple of wedks ago and they were lavender .I placed a few calls and left messages . calls were not returned . Then I read they went out of business . Is there anyway to get reimbursed ? Thank you Barbara Lussier

Similar experience. I ordered 3 plants ($60.40 total) on May 11 and charged these to my MasterCard account. I was told that order was beng processed and would be delivered to me by one of their drivers as their business model is that everything customers order is hand delivered. When I didn't receive order after a few weeks, I tried to contact company, left a message, received no answer and checked their web page which gave the same message others received about "financial difficulty" with POB address. Order never came; I was alarmed and told Citibank that I disputed the charge since I never received the merchandise I had ordered. What I have received since is a notice about bankruptcy proceedings about Shrub Bucket from a bankruptcy court in Syracuse, NY (Shrub Bucker is located in nearby Ithaca, NY). but even that is confusing since there was no explanation from company itself but only a reiteration of my order details. It is obvious that this company has defrauded customers, and I was more alarmed today when I received a notice from Citibank which said CC has "closed our investigation and reversed our credit." I immediately called Citi and told them that this order was never delivered, and that, yes, indeed, I absolutely dispute this charge.

Have you been scammed by ShrubBucket? Are you upset that this company disappeared after taking your money? You aren't alone! Hard to believe such a promising horticultural company would do that to their loyal gardener customers, but it is true. On May 27th ShrubBucket fired all of their employees and disappeared within 24 hours. What's worse is they planned it. Ordered from [censored] bucket. Took my order on 5/24. Shut down with 2 days. Took down Facebook account. Never responded to my emails. Website has a message saying they’re in a financial crisis and consulting with attorneys. Along with a pobox address. Founders should be ashamed of themselves. Despicable people, Out $342. Filed dispute with credit card. Response to my credit card company was that the order “was shipped “. Liars. They hand deliver. How is it shipped when they fired all their staff. I’m taking this further.

Ordered $135 worth of plants and never received them. And they actually had the nerve, when confirming my order, to see if I wanted to add anything to my order. They shouldn’t have taken my order and money if they couldn’t fulfill it. I’ve contacted my bank to contest the charge.

I ordered some ornamental grass on May 17th. It said it would be available for shipping on May 29, 2021. I've been trying to reach a person at Shrubbucket since May 29, 2021. I've called and left a voicemail. When you call they tell you to email or text them. I've emailed several times and I've texted them to no avail. I have not seen anything that says they are out of business. I'd like my $187 back. I'm filing a complaint with my Bank to refund me the monies. They should not be taken orders (and they still are) if they are not in business. Do not order from this company.

I’m in exactly the same boat. The website says they are having financial difficulties and consulting an attorney. When I emailed them, I reiterated exactly what you said - they shouldn’t have taken my order and money if they couldn’t fulfill the order. I’m so angry about the way they handled (or failed to handle) the whole situation.

Order placed in mid march. order was out for delivery as of 5/28 and nothing arrived. Over $345 of money spent on my order and nothing received.

I ordered some plants for shrub bucket, an online site. They collected my money, confirmed my order then went silent. When trying to contact the company I couldn’t find any i information on the company anywhere. Eventually yesterday I came across something that said they were out of business.

Do not order from Shrub Bucket. They are not fulfilling their orders and are not reachable. There is no way to get a refund.

This company offers 100% guarantee. When I tried to reach out to them several times (5 times via email, phone call, text, website), nothing is done. Their social media accounts are GONE. No one can be reached.
