Service Dogs Canada Reports & Reviews (1)

I came across this website to register my puppy as an emotional support dog. I started to fill out the online form and proceed to payment by credit card. It was weird there was no need for official training.

Step One: Public Access Test for Qualification

Purpose: The purpose of this Public Access Test is to ensure that dogs are stable, well-behaved and unobtrusive to the public; that you have control over the dog; and that, as a team, you do not pose a public hazard. This was the "checklist" to move forward with your registration:

Many of these access questions do not apply to small dogs.

Bottom Line: Your dog demonstrates that he/she is safe to be in public, and you demonstrate that you have control of your dog at all times.

•Approaching a business: The dog must stay in a relative heel position. The dog must display relaxed attitude and exhibit no fear of cars or traffic noises. .

•HEELING: Once inside the establishment, you and your dog must walk through areas in a controlled manner. Smaller Dogs Are usually carried. The dog must be able to avoid obstacles and not knock over or play.

•SITS ON COMMAND: You should be able to have the dog sit. The dog must respond promptly each time, with no more than two commands. If your dog is at a table where food may be dropped on the floor your dog should not break the Sit to go for the food .

•If an adult and/or child approaches your dog: The dog should maintain siting and not solicit attention.

•NOISE DISTRACTION: Your dog may acknowledge the noise, but should not in any way show aggression or fear. A normal startle reaction is acceptable. The dog may jump or turn, but should quickly recover.

•RESTAURANT: While you are seated at a table in a restaurant, your dog should go under the table or, if size prevents this, stay close by. The dog must sit or lie down and may move a bit for comfort from time to time, but should not be up and down frequently or require frequent correction or reminding.

The forgoing information is just a general guideline for working with your dog in public. The most important thing is that you have full control of your dog at all times.

When I decided something sounded fishy I emailed them to cancel my order the same day I had put it in. No one has ever emailed me back. I called the "24/7 service desk" and the phone number was a Hawaii #

It rang and went to a voicemail. It sounded like a one person show. I left a voicemail saying I would like a phone call back. Left my name and number.

Hours later I received a call but missed it. They left a voicemail saying they "received my email to cancel the order but they would like to know why I wanted to cancel". They said to "improve our service if there was anything they could do"

(It sounded like the same guy that was on the recording for the voicemail. Very raspy sounding heavy smoker or something)

I called back again left a voice message. Again hours later I received a phone call back. I answered. Same guy. "I said I just don't want the product anymore so please cancel the order." he replied "Isn't your dog helping you?" I said well yeah my dog is helping me- but I don't want the product anymore"

He replied okay that's fine. As I was about to ask for confirmation of the cancellation- he hung up. I still have never received any email back. The way the customer service seemed, was the most bizarre. That really leads me to believe this is a scam. Further investigation on their website I saw absolutely no reference to return policy or cancelations.

I have been checking my credit card with my online banking and I don't see a charge so far. I am concerned still however something could be used from my phone interaction where I said "yeah my dog is helping" I have heard of scammers recording your voice when you say "Yes" to somehow get away with the sale or purchase.
