Customer reach out to us to provide a re-roof quote for a home he recently purchased. He accepted our quote and scheduled the re-roof. He asked that we charge his credit card for $8k, retain our $1K deposit and write him a check for the extra $7k because he needed to pay the seller closing fees on the house. I spoke with the realtor who assured me this house was NOT sold and he did not have a customer named Ricky Stevens. Upon a search on facebook, I found a post from April where this same person had pulled the same scam in Houston. Contractors beware.
