I was initially contacted by someone named Selena from Reforma Group LLC about a graphic designer position I applied to through LinkedIn. To confirm my interest, I had to email a different person named Nicholas from Reforma Group. I was then asked to complete a list of interview questions on a Word document to then send back. That was the extent of the interview process and was over the course of 24 hours. After sending back my answers, I was notified the same day that I was hired for the position and would be contacted the next day with an offer letter from HR. The pay rate for the graphic designer position was $30/hr during training that would last 3-5 days then $65 an hour to start which is an insane amount of money for a graphic designer. The position was fully remote and I would be sent a check to buy necessities to set up a home office. They asked for my name, phone number, address, and email address claiming they need the information for the offer letter. After ignoring so many red flags, I called Reforma Group to follow up. They informed me that it was indeed a scam and that I was not the first person that has called them regarding the graphic designer position posted on LinkedIn.
