Got a quote for a shipping container. Received quote with the delivery to be shipped to our farm. Ordered container that we wan, explained that it was for agricultural use, gave tax ID #. Was told to place the order to send name, delivery address, phone #, and email to their email and they would send the purchase invoice. Did this. Received the invoice with the information for the wire transfer bank account information at the bottom. Took this to our bank, asked if this looked like it was legit, because i was concerned about be scammed. They thought it look to be so secure. The funds for the container and delivery fee were wired the next morning. They wanted prthey were sent, I sent a screenshot of the pending transaction on our bank profile showing it without our full account # showing. They then sent a paid invoice and an invoice for sales tax and insurance fee of 15%, which was never disconnected the quote. I explained to them that should have been included in the delivery fee. The shipping company is responsible for the insurance from the point of origin and the delivery of product until delivered to my farm. Once on our property, then the insurance is our responsibility. I never heard back from them. I then asked them for the shipping company name, bill of lading, date the shipping container will be shipped and the date I should expect it on my farm by no later than 5:00 pm TODAY!!! (Which was 6/5/24 @ 3:45 pm CST.) It is now 8:24 pm CST and I have not received a response. I started all this back and forth conversation with them on 6/1/24, I was hoping to have this container on my farm by no later than 6/8/24, which I explained to them also.

I never actually talked to them via phone. All of my discussions have been via Facebook & email.

I either want all my money back or the container shipped. I'm not going to pay sales tax since it is for agricultural use nor am I going to pay an insurance fee that was not quoted to me originally in the quote. I feel this is their responsibility not ours.

scam started with facebook market place selling empty used shipping containers, some thing didn't seem right. ask for something to prove not a scam.

they gave me a website to order from, i ordered and paid via wire transfer.( $2200 for item and $400 shipping.) next day they asked for $468 for sales taxes (18% taxes!!) and $260 for insurance.(fell wrong to me ), i asked why 18% sales tax and they said containers are taxed higher. i called other container companies and they said they are not taxed higher. i also asked why do i need insurance if they are the ones delivering? got no answer. i asked for shipping location and contact, they said it would be processed after taxes and insurance was paid. then i could get this information. they said they could cancel the order, i said please cancel and send my money back, they said there is there is a cancelation fee of $500 because it was already process. but before they said it would not be processed until the taxes and insurance were paid.

as of right now i have not received any money back.
