Said I owed a HSBC credit card from 2006

They contacted my wife and I both saying I owed a 1600 dollar debt from 2006 and they were sending a process server to my house if I didn't pay it immediately, they would also put a lien on my home. I looked up the law firm with the address they had given me and it did not exist. They also aren't registered with the California bar. When I blocked the 866 number they called me back from a local number demanding payment. I told him I researched his "law firm" and it didn't exist, he told me thats weird but we will continue with proceedings and hung up. They cannot come after you after 7 years plus 180 days is my understanding and in the state I live in its 6 years. Total scammers
