This company will take your full deposit and treat you like trash while doing it.

This former Bachellorette TV show contestant James Spadafore from Phoenix Car Rental,and family are absolutely awful people. They rent out cars with issues and stick the renters with the bills to fix them, though they never actually fix the issues they just keep renting them and collecting deposits. To add insult to injury, they also treat you like utter [censored] when you go there.I have never been degraded and spoke to like this in all my life! It made me feel so violated. They took my receipt and incurred charge receipts i collected while trying to keep their car running and returned. They never told me what was wrong with the car but that i was liable to fix it and that i am whom caused the issues. I rented for a week, returned in one day. I have disputed the full charge with the bank. Sadly, the way the contract was written, they have all the power, And these guys know it! Please shut them down! With the list of complaints on nearly every business/scam/fraud site, i am horrified that they are still allowed to operate and take peoples money.

I rented a car that had a $189 weekly rental fee I was told that I was using a debit card and they were going to hold an extra $200 on the card when I return the car it's six days later I was charged a $200 fee for driving the car out of state as well as for insurance because He would not take the insurance that I had. when I asked why the amount was different than what was agreed-upon. I was told that I was stupid and illiterate.

Rented a car from this place last minute, as the reservation i had elsewhere had gotten messed up. Rented car for 2 days and was told it would cost $149.00 total taxes included, and when car was brought back the short fat owner charged over $100 more in "other" fees. Was very rude, yelling at customers and even kicked one lady out for telling him he had bad customer service. Told her when she got 7 million dollars she can open her own damn rental place. Then my girlfriend stated, with 7 million dollars why are all the cars filthy inside, smell and run bad. He told her to get the [censored] out and sit in the car. What kind of business owner talks like that to people. No wonder they stay in business, they overcharge people who need a car fast, they take advantage of that then treat customers horrible.

Quoted 150.00 plus 30.00 tax fees by Ron who the attendant did not know who he was when I came in to get the car. I told attendant of the quoted price and thought that that is what he was charging me. Company was Phoenix car rental but the bill was under PHX RAC

Charged 380.00 on credit card.

Used older car as rental car

No gas in car, dirty car inside and outside

changed drop off area with directions on the locked gate

could not dispute the bill

Car rental place , they rent cars to you they brake down on you then charge you lots of fees ! Horrible service

I rented a car from them and put down a cash deposit my car rental total was 168 with tax. The cars seat belts did not work the car had a oil leak plus many other problems I gave them a 400 dollar deposit when we dropped vehicle off they kept our deposit plus,charged us 27 more dollars when I tried calling to see if we could resolve this matter I was screamed at told to shut up and told to stop my yapping and get over it I was hung up on twice they wouldn't let me speak to a manager I explained my mother had passed away they assured me there were in,hidden costs and the story changed when I dropped it off im so hurt that they would take advantage of a grieving family

Talk about taking advantage of the needy. I found on new times best place to save money on car rental go to Phoenix car rental. DAM SCAM THEY USED MY DEPOSIT WITHOUT MY CONCENT TO PUT INSURANCE ON THE CAR I RENTED. I called asked for the cheapest rental for a week, I am a family man trying to survive the everyday struggle. Started a new job and need a car to go to work and to take my wife to work in the evening and kids to dance and soccer practice. So the guy on phone says bring 300 dollars cash because I don't have credit card. Tells me it's 130 a week to rent the car plus tax 19.25% (51.04) and cleaning fee (11.99). After the week we go vacuum the car and gas it up and return it. They are saying I owe them $16.18 and kept my deposit. So they don't ask you if you need insurance or even tell you they are putting insurance on the car 17.00 a day. I told him, hey no one told me my deposit is being used for insurance, I didn't even have money for a cab or bus ride. My wife and I walked 8 miles back home because they took every penny I had. He then circled a section in the fine print of contract stated they will put insurance on it if none was provided. They don't tell you that. It's the way they rent you the car. They should clearly tell you hey we putting insurance on the car if you don't provide proof not just automatically take it. The feeling of being scammed with my wife by my side just ate me up going home walking and broke. I understand stand read the fine print but the way they sold it to me and bieng that New Times says that's were you'll save money that is not how you do business. It's my first time renting a car, as a business your customers should not be walking out your business feeling robbed and scammed for a minute I thought they were great helping thru these hard times, but ya rite I never asked for a hand out and don't like taking them but I thought we could actually afford this and I was wrong. So my wife stopped working because she walks the girls to dance practice about mile and half away and the kids coach picks them up for practice and well I'm on the bus. We are saving for a car and will soon have enough to buy a lil car that can get us around. I just want to make sure this so called Phoenix Car Rental doesn't take advantage of another family trying to survive life again, until they change the way they rent you the car they will always win the SCAM . one goes in there happy they are able to rent a car for 130 plus tax and 110 deposit and end up walking out of there a week later wondering how they could take advantage of another man just trying to survive.

I rented a vehicle for Phoenix car rental for a week. The price of the rental started out @ $187.00. When I informed them that I was leaving the state. The price went up to $260.00... Phoenix car rental ended up taking $459.00. I want my money back. I tried to explain to the Company that the vehicle had many issues...that meant nothing.. Upon returning the vehicle the clerk aske fory insurance card when he found out that I only had liability insurance. He was disappointed and immediately charged me $459.00 for renting a vehicle that sat still for 4 days.. I want my money back and I want this business to be accountable. This is bad business practices.

This company Phoenix car rental or Sanand car rental East McDowell Road told me that my car rental would be $250 when I return the car after leaving a $300 deposit they told me I still owe them $58 and they wouldn't take me to the airport as they said when I first rented the car because I didn't want to pay them the $50 when they didn't give me any warning upfront about those fees they are scamming people like this every single day I just got off yelp and I hope bunch of other review sites and read several reviews like this somebody needs to look into this and check on this company or make their rules a little bit more obvious for the people thank you

This rental car company owners are not only rude , they are very greedy. I rented a car for 1 day .... Not only was I charged $240 for it , I felt belittled and they treated me like trash because I was under 25.... Please do ever spend your hard earned money there they'll keep your deposit this is the 3rd time this has happen to me at one of there many locations all the cars were previously wrecked , last car o revived from them wouldn't start ... I paid a week and only spend 3 days in the car .... Never gave me anything back .... Rude unprofessional men working there they probably just a front for a drug dealing business it's very tacky and dirty at every establishment .

DO NOT RENT FROM PHOENIX CAR RENTAL. THEY ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE DUE TO, LITERALLY, HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS. THE CARS ARE JUNKY AND BREAK DOWN, THE SERVICE IS BEYOND RUDE, THEY CHARGED ME DOUBLE WHAT WAS QUOTED AND REFUSED TO REFUND TWO $250 DEPOSITS, THE SECOND RUN ON MY CARD TWO WEEKS INTO MY EIGHTEEN DAY RENTAL. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY $500 BACK IN DEPOSITS AND I CALLED THE POLICE. THE PHOENIX POLICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THEY ARE CALLED OUT THERE MULTIPLE TIMES WEEKLY FOR THESE SAME REASONS. THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH THE ATTORNY GENERAL'S OFFICE, AS WELL AS THE LOCAL TV STATIONS. EVERYONE FROM THE POLICE TO THE AG'S OFFICE HAVE TOLD ME THIS PLACE IS BAD NEWS AND THEY ARE TRYING TO SHUT THEM DOWN. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO NEAR THESE GUYS. I HAD THREE VEHICLES WITHIN 18 DAYS AND ALL HAD OVER 200K MILES ON THEM AND THE FIRST TWO BROKE DOWN JUST A COUPLE DAYS INTO THE RENTAL. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT ME I CAN GIVE YOU THE NAME OF THE PERSON AT THE AG'S OFFICE WHO TOLD ME SHE HAS "HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS" ABOUT THE COMPANY AND THEY'VE BEEN INVESTIGATING THEM FOR OVER ONE YEAR.
