PCH scammer and claiming to work as a Postal Service Agent

- Falls Church, VA, USA • Jun 18, 2025

The scammer called me impersonating the post office, informing me that my package had been returned twice. It prompted me to press 0 to learn the contents of the package, and I did so. A woman on the other line asked how she could help, and I explained the situation as I understood it. She asked for my name. I gave it and spelled it out, then she hung up.

I am waiting for a package supposedly being delivered from usps when i got a message from "them". i checked safari to see if maybe it was a scam and to my surprise I saw a photo that showed a message identical to one i got. I decided to report it in case it is a scam. i wasn't able to plug in all of my information so I hope i don't get scammed. it was asking for a $0.30 redelivery fee and i saw that for usps they ask for a tracking number first and offer free redeliveries. I just do not want to be scammed.

I keep receiving texts coming from an email that claims to be from the USPS stating I have a packaged being held in customs but the zip code is invalid and a link with instructions is provided. I have not replied or clicked on any link and I have deleted the messages. I do have a package awaiting delivery that is in Jamaica, NY that came from overseas however I suspect this is not related to my package.

It’s not the actual USPS website but it asks for me to put in my name, address, phone number, and email. I have USPS account and that site definitely is not USPS.
