Letter from non-existent "Lender: Independence FSB" (I searced for it but found nothing) claiming my house is secured by the Lender and encouraging me to call them to "activate" a home Warranty for appliance and HVAC repairs. They want a response by 10/6/2023.

I had the same experience as the individual whose post I am commenting on. Richard Thomas (Program Coordinator) sent me a letter stating my factory warranty is about to expire and that I need to call him immediately to avoid possible financial liability with my car in the future.

Scammer sent a letter to my home address in a white envelope that did not indicate a company name or address. It was marked Private & Confidential and had a bar code. It also indicated that it was secured by Willow Grove Bk. It provided a phone number to call within 21 days of receiving this letter to prevent my home warranty from expiring.

To me, this was a very obvious scam, but I fear some people may be fooled.
