Petra Bright Institute Reports & Reviews (1)

Report

I responded to a social media post advertising private sale of concert tickets. The seller and I arranged that I would Zelle half of the purchase price before delivery of the tickets and half afterwards. The seller provided a phone number linked to Petra Bright Institute for the Zelle payment, and advised that it was his wife's company. After I sent the first half of the money, the seller sent me a fraudulent Ticketmaster ticket transfer email--it appeared like a real Ticketmaster message and identified Ticketmaster as the sender, but the actual email address of the sender was something different. My assumption is that if I would have clicked on the link in the email, someone would have attempted to gain access to my Ticketmaster account or otherwise attempt to take more money. After I discovered the fraud and demanded my money back, the seller never replied.
