Just received a text message about a remote home depot job.

- Castle Rock, CO, USA

Cold email from unknown contact: "Hello, good morning! I am a customer service representative (Elena) of (Home Depot), and your resume has been recommended by several online recruitment companies. Therefore, our company offers you a remote part-time/full-time online job, which can help (Home Depot) merchants optimize product rankings, increase exposure and bookings, and provide free training. The working hours are 60 to 90 minutes (depending on your schedule), and you can earn $80 to $600 a day if you are willing. Base pay is $800 for every four days worked. A 4-day paid trial period, after which you can sign a labor contract with the company and receive 20 days of paid annual leave, travel air ticket reimbursement, and maternity leave, paternity leave, and other statutory holidays. On February 25th I missdialed by 1 digit a number to pay our Home Depot credt card. A recording came on offering a promotion. I thought the promotion was being offered by Home Depot. Like an [censored] I signed up for the promotion, was charged $480 for a free safety alert necklace & a year's worth of service for my mother. They were to have sent necklace to her, & she was to have easily activated service by just pressing a button. Neckalce was to have arrived in 3 to 5 business days. She has received nothing, Nor have I received any communicatin from company, listed as Life Protect 24/8558814217*********55-9 for bank transaction. I realized the mistaken wrong # right away, when I recalled Home Depot to pay statement. Home Depot's # is 677, not 877. (Tried to stop payment immediately with bank, but they said they couldn't do that, until charge came through, & when it did, they would not stop payment. I've been persistent with bank, so as of today they have given me temporary credit for the charge.) Tried calling the 800-877-0232 # again today & a different promotional recording came on for a discount on Dish TV, & I was unable to talk to a person. I believe they recognized my phone # & refused to complete call. Recording said "they could not help me at this time."

I ordered a steel dump cart online and was told my order was confirmed and they would notify me when shipped .This was 2/5/24 on 2/16/24 I tried to check on it and couldn't get in the website anymore. I emailed them and told them to get back to me or I would file a claim with you. They did not respond so I'm contacting you.

The company Forwoad used the Home Depot Store logo for a over stocked warehouse of Halloween decorations . I picked out a few items not spending to much knowing I might get scammed . I used my debit card and spent $69.99 and they emailed a confirmed receipt with an order number 00007857 and Tracking number AMMO66612357CN . I placed this order August 19th and was sent confirmation from a shipping co. called China Post . They updated a couple times on the delivery but havent heard anything back when the package reached my area of Sparks NV

So offer is on a free tent. Clicked on that. Takes you to a fake Home Depot named website where you click on gift boxes and try for the tent. I'm sure everyone "wins". Then takes you to the g9.yourwinningdeal.com website. Where it asks you to pay $9.96 for shipping. After you enter your information a second offer comes up, mine was some stupid fitness program or something. I declined and they charged me for the second item anyways. Called customer service. Person who answered "Lana" told the $9.96 was not for shipping and handling but for some membership I never saw or agreed to. And that she didn't see the 2nd charge at all.

A man wanted my bank account and routing number so I could “pay an outstanding balance on my Home Depot credit card” I told him to take a flying leap.

I was wasting time, scrolling thru the Facebook marketplace, when I saw a Home Depot Clearance advertisement for outdoor sheds. My mom has been wanting one for the backyard so I decided to look. Found one that would fit perfectly, so I purchased it thru PayPal on May 27th, 2023. I got an email that stated my payment to "Matilda English ([email protected])" for $79.99 had gone thru and my shipping address was confirmed...typical PayPal receipt...

The website stated 7-15 days for delivery, so after a week of not receiving a tracking number I decided to email [email protected] and requested the information. Still haven't heard anything back...

So I decided to get online and look up my order on the Home Depot website. All of their order numbers begin with a W, C, or H...The number I have starts with M...so I couldn't look it up and decided to ask Home Depot for help.

While texting with Home Depot, the associate got my info and tried to look me up and couldn't find anything. He showed me pics stating the website I purchased the shed from was "deceptive" and recommended that I fill this form out and contact my bank to dispute the charge.

Text message about a Home Depot survey with a $100 gift. Took the survey. Was given a choice of items. Chose a message gun and paid $7.95 S&H. I have contacted them and they said that the small print said that I agreed to a monthly membership at $63.71 per month.

Wednesday 1St June 2022, Underheading "CONGRATULATIONS" digital screen depicted the undersign

As a winner of a Craftsman Tool chest. Requesting a survey < aqai

Also a from HOME DEPOT.

After the survey. Rs.9.95 as shipping charges. The said amount was paid via US Bank Debit card

Last 4numbers ending **** June 1st around 11 pm. this already been cashed.

There after various screen attempts offering Dewalt Xtreme Drill has been offered which was ignored.

It is evident this is a Scham and needs same be investigated please.

Home Depot Survey, took it, and notice said I had won, one of 5 prizes, that I simply had to pay shipping/handling. I entered my CreditCard number it stated it was declined. I thought strange, so I entered a different card number which came back declined, insufficient funds. I knew that was absolutely impossible, as I have no ballance on that card, and a 10K limit. It quickly dawned on me, that this may be a hoax or scam; so I took screen shots and then closed out of the site.

On July 22, 2022, I received an e-mail, allegedly from Home Depot, asking me to complete a customer survey concerning my shopping experience at Home Depot store in Idaho Falls, ID. I was told I would receive a Bosch cordless drill for my opinion. All I would be charged was the shipping, which was $5.95. I gave my card number, and today, my on-line account statement shows a charge for $89.95 and a second charge for $1.95. I called my card issuer, East Idaho Credit Union VISA, and contested the charges. They have cancelled my card, and now I have to have a new card issued, and notify all the businesses that make automatic debits on this account, like utility companies, insurance companies, etc.

Through Home Depot survey I won a prize and only had to pay shipping and handling. I received a video camera for my car and they charged my credit card for $117.00.

This is the email you will receive.

CONGRATULATIONS! You are the lucky online winner of a brand new Sweepstakes Makita Power Drill entry!

and takes you to complete a Home Depot Survey and after will ask you the payment info

Outdoor patio sets at huge discounts. $599 discounted to $98.98 (I should have known because it sounded too good to be true). I didn't get suspicious enough until after I paid and got the wired receipt that wasn't from Home Depot. The payment was taken from PayPal. I saved this website address afterwards (https://www.hphgmedede.shop/order/339747-00000263?spm=..checkout.order_status_1... The Paypal account in my bank account is this -
PURCHASE, 4-12-2022, PAYPAL *SIBABIAT S 402-935-7733 CA,AUTH# 335613 PURCHASE ADVANCE. Don't fall for this. Attached is the receipt I got after the purchase.

Don't order the patio furniture from Home Depot it is a ripoff, fraud and a scam. Just remember if it is too good to be true it ususally is.

Please do NOT trust this web site, it is a ripoff. I even paid for Xpress delivery which was 13 days ago. Called my credit card company to investigate the charges and delete this from my credit card. Why can't Home Depot police their company for fraud? Guess this will be the last time that I shop at Home Depot till they clean up their act. China is full of crooks.
