I got a FB message. They told me that I got paid through a customer and that the payment was pending. They wanted me to ship the item and give them indication that the shipment was sent, verification of tracking. When I got to the UPS center I asked them to look at it and they said that they had been getting a lot of scams lately. I called paypal immediately--they said it wasn't legit; they could tell it wasn't a transaction through them or an email that they used.

paypal sent me an email claiming i place an order called bitcoin exchange is charging me 499.30 for something i did not buy and as calling them to see why the phone tech hacked my bank account with a gift card purchase at amazon causing me to need to get an entire new bank account and cancel all of my bank accounts so i did not get robbed for more than 99 dollars gift card they bought at amazon

I got a txt from the above listed number sayong and looking like it was from Paypal which I use on a regular basis. It said my account had been restricted and that I needed to contact them to resolve the issue. They gave me a url [me2.kr/zge3wsiad]. When I clicked on that I got a website? that asked for my information which I began to put in until they asked for my SS#. That is something I will not give out over the phone so I went directly to the Paypal website and find there were NO restrictions on my account.

I received an email claiming that my PatPal account had been suspended due to suspicious activity. I was given the following link to verify my PayPal identity: http://sh.ampallera.es/hLvHSt. I clicked on the link and discovered that I was being asked for all of my identifying information including my SS number and mother’s maiden name. I wasn’t able to verify with PayPal if this is a scam but I don’t believe that PayPal would be asking me for my Social Security number and my mother’s maiden name.

Sends an attachment claiming to be about an Iphone purchase and requesting you call in to provide proof of if the purchase is authentic or not and will request credit card information to "refund" the purchase. Do not fall for this.

I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL EMAILS FROM THESE SAME PEOPLE STATING THAT MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY RESTRICTED. I DO NOT NOW OR EVER HAD I HAD A PAYPAL ACCOUNT. THE MOST RECENT ONE LOOKS TO BE FROM PAYPAL AND STUBHUB. I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM STUBHUB.

I SENT THEM AN EMAIL TELLING THEN TO STOP SENDING ME EMAILS, THAT THIS WAS A BOGUS SOLICITATION AND TO TAKE ME OFF OF THEIR EMAIL LIST.

THEY REPLIED "OR ELSE WHAT"

Received an automated phone call today at 3:13pm, PST, from "PayPal", stating that my iPhone 13 for $1100 has been purchased and shipped to Memphis, TN. The automation continued stating press 1 if I didn't place the order, etc. I selected opt 1, of course, and was immediately connected with an overly helpful individual who knew my current address. He also looked up other "recent" PayPal transactions on my account that had been purchased to/from other states (hence inciting alarm).

He said that he could stop the purchase and payment for the iPhone, and would look at the others, but that it appeared that my IP address had been hacked and that is how purchases are now being made from other states with my info and accounts.

After asking what brand of phone I use he instructed me to go to the app store and search for "mydesk". I ended the call at this point as clearly he was going to ask me to install an app that would allow him (or another) access to my device and information.

I checked my PayPal account and NONE of those approx 6 charges from other states were listed.

Beware, there are PayPal emails coming through as well.
