I received a text message from Paypal that someone was trying to withdraw $799.98 from my account. I call the number that was given and talked to someone for hours. They gave me instructions on what to do. These instructions were used to transfer money out of my Cashapp and Paypal to be forwarded to Remitly. Lina *** was the name they gave me but this is a huge scam.

Individual searched the internet for a number for PayPal and found 1-844-304-4210. Spoke to Dave Fallon who requested that he get 3 google play cards in the amount of 300.00 so that Paypal could transfer his money to him onto that card. Tried to call him back on his direct line has requested but the line was no longer in service 917-341-6039. Tried the first number again and was lead to Travis Johnson (supervisor) and he requested the individual to get 4 more google play cards in the amount of 400.00. Spoke to him on his direct Line: 669-800-8953 and he requested 4 more additional cards, which the individual refused. He claimed he would release 2,400.00 into the individual's account if he purchased the additional cards.

I received an email that posed as a PayPal message. I clicked the link and entered my personal info, including my social security number, debit card number. It appeared to be a real email. It wasn’t until I submitted the information that I realized it was a scam. The web address changed to a random website. I closed it and tried to go back in and it directs you to a Facebook video.

PayPal which is supposed to be trustworthy stated I had a negative balance and charged me an extra $408 On a $60 purchase. After four dozen emails ans phone calls I finally get a representative that blamed my bank and said it was an old charge. They went as far as saying they received a letter from my bank to charge me. I called my bank who said that was absolutely not true and that my account is fine. That PayPal is not allowed to be charging me any additional funds. They are fraudulent and acting in an illegal manner. I fear that others may not spend 5e time that I did to get to that bottom of this ans just accept a negative balance. That does not happen to your PayPal account If linked to your credit card. This is frightening and scary!

Email described a purchase that was not made by me, and was going to be charged to my Paypal account. A phone number was given to call in case I had questions. I checked my Paypal account and saw no such transaction. I think that they would quiz me, phishing for information, should I call the number they gave.

I was selling an item to a customer who lives in AZ. Their payment choice was PayPal. I don’t know nothing about PayPal nor do I use it but I’ve been emailing PayPal to see when I was going to get my money. It was only $300. Then they would ask me personal information. They email me saying I need to come up with a certain amount to refund back to customer. the amount would keep increasing so I would give them money so they could credit my account. Then they would ask me to pay $1300 because THEY withdrew it from the customer's account and put that on me. I have tons of emails and the customer and I would communicate back and forth on Facebook Messenger. I have ALL the emails and the Facebook messages as well for proof the email address would say [email protected] but then right underneath it would say [email protected]. THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED. They have my passport information

Caller said $299 being charged on PayPal for firewall protection purchased from Best Buy. I don't have a PayPal account and haven't shopped at Best Buy in years. I called the number back and the answering machine said it was in the 325 area code.

This contact phone number 1-844-420-0067 was put on a PayPal corporate headquarters internet page. When the number was called he portrayed himself to be a manager in the PayPal accounts department. He said his name was Aaron. He tried to convince me that my funds were being held by the IRS and told me I needed to pay 10% of the money on the account for taxes. He then said that there was a different number I needed to call back at to make the payment that number is 1-844-970-2888 the extension: 7200

The text I assume is from PayPal stating that my account has been limited. That I have received money from Equipnet, 624.52 and that I need to review my account information at http://w.

A family member of mine was trying to sell her wedding dress online and was approached by a man going under the name of Mike Hoover. He attempted to coerce my family member into sending the wedding dress with fake PayPal confirmation emails.
