Type of a scam Phishing

Various phone calls from various numbers have called asking me to call them back about a pending civil matter. These numbers include: +16075973611 on March 14 from a James Patterson; +16075973381 on March 13 from a James Patterson; +16072600173 on February 16 from a Lisa. James Patterson left a call back number of 1-888-217-1676. When I called that number, they identified as Newport Receivables and said CDL was a verification company. The person from the 1-888 had an address, the last four of social, and date of birth. Kept asking if I was xxxxx. And read off all of that information to me but wouldn't say why CDL was contacting me on their behalf. James Patterson referenced a number 1-3211747 or 211744 and said he was from CDL. Lisa referenced a case number 78016 but didn't state where that case was from. I use a Google screening service and never answer but they keep leaving messages.
