“Heather”- Hi Danette - My name is Heather Price and I work for Mystery Shopping Service. I found your name and number on the MSPA shopper website. I'm looking for someone to call and visit a senior living community in Whittier.

You would stop by and check out what they have to offer, stating that you are looking for a new living situation for a parent. We are curious about the customer service you receive and what you think of what they are offering. Complete a survey on your experience.

Me- Hello Heather,
Yes, I think I could do this. When would this need to take place?

“Heather”- Awesome! Sales rep works Mon-Friday so any day/time that works for you and the sales rep

Me- The sales rep for the facility?

“Heather”- Yes you would be meeting with the sales rep. So when you call you set an appt with that person on a day/time that works

Me- So basically I need to call and schedule an appointment to meeti with a sales rep to answer a few questions and to show me around the facility because I’m interested in possibly placing my elderly father there.

“Heather”- Yes

Me- Is there any form or a protocol that I need to follow while I’m there or I just kind of wing it?

“Heather”- Oh yes I have an email of full instructions to send you

Me- OK, whew!

“Heather”- Could you use your voice recording app on your cell phone and secretly audio record the visit? Ill send you the consent form they have signed for your records.

Me- Yes I could do that I also have a small pocket recorder. Possibly would work better it’s a little more discrete.

“Heather”- Ok and at the same time record on your phone so if it doesn’t work you have a back up. The phone has to stay hidden

Me- Okay, sure. I’ll do it.

“Heather”- Here’s the first step

It’s been several days now and I have not followed through or contacted her back. I haven’t heard anything back from her either.

Yes, this is the text I send out to my shoppers to see if they are interested in performing shops/evaluations. If you read the very last comment above, the ball was in her court. Danette stated she would be in contact with me. Because Danette didn't commit to my evaluation, I moved on and assigned it to someone else. I need committed evaluators and if someone wants to wait to contact me, I will respect that. I don't hound or harass. This does not make me a scam, and posting private conversations onto forums like this can hurt legitimate companies. I did reach out to Danette after seeing this and asked her to remove her defamatory posting. She didn't respond. The scams go both ways. I have worked with Heather for three years, and there is NO SCAM here. The end of the text says that you'll contact her once you sign up (because you have to be in her system to do shops). You said you never contacted her back.

I've done in-person and phone shops for Heather, and what I love is the personal contact (like the text above) instead of canned responses. I've been mystery shopping since 2005, and MSS is my favorite. You are safe to complete the shop.

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

$2396 cashier check sent instructing me to (1) call 7868083974 stating I received check (2) deposit check and call same number to inform them check was deposited so they can authorize payment

(3) once funds cleared withdraw all but 455.00 which would be my commission. I was instructed what to observe at Walmart n then (4) send remaining money minus fees for walmart2walmart transfer (962.00) and the same via moneygram. I knew it was a scam n so decided to contact your organization
