The scammer's name is Jonathan Wayne reepresenring "Containers Direct". On one invoice they say they have a company and containers are kept in Dallas, Texas and on the other invoices it says that the company is out of Sauget, Illinois. Mr. Wayne had an ad on Facebook Market promoting the sale of 40' storage containers. I reached out to buy several 40 ft shipping containers. He said that he had some used units for the price of $1,000 each. We agreed on two units to start and I sent $1,500 via Cashapp. We had agreed via text that I would pay the $500 balance in cash upon delivery. That's when Mr, Wayne told me that his boss would not agree to that now (after telling me the prior week he had it covered) and that I was in breach of contract although I had never signed a contract with this supposed company. I told him it shouldn't be a problem if they were delivering them anyways and I am happy to give the cash as agreed upon via his texts. He has since refused the delivery thay was supposed to happen last week and refused to refund my $1500. We have texted back and forth since yesterday with no resolution and no return of my money even though I asked promptly. The company seems fraudulent as their name is not registered with the state of Illinois Secretary of State's office and they have two separate locations listed on their invoices. The cashapp is a personal and not a business one either I noticed. I would like my money back and charges pressed. Cashapp will not refund my money as they say it is already been paid to a private account and they cannot get the money back. I have requested a refund via the app and reported the scam but they have been no help in trying to get a scammed person's money returned from the account deposited. I would also like Cashapp reported for not protecting consumer rights even though it says that all money is FDIC insured for up to $250,000! Thx
