MY HUSBAND WANTED TO SURPRISE ME WITH A PUPPY FOR MOTHERS DAY. HE WAS TOLD THERE WAS FREE SHIPPING. VENMOED $600.THEY GAVE HIM FLIGHT INFORMATION FOR PUPPY TO ARRIVE ON MOTHERS DAY. NEXT HE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM SHIPPING COMPANY ASKING FOR ANOTHER $799 AND SAYING THEY WOULD RETURN $700 ONCE PUPPY WAS DELIVERED...

THIS IS WHEN WE REALIZED WE WE WERE SCAMMED

I DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS TO ANYBODY ELSE! BEWARE

Offering to sell me a puppies name Paddy paying (600 dollars. via Zelle Payment under transfer BY my bank account They will ship the puppies via airplane.. Then after they received the money instruct us to call the company that will bring the dog via a jet. We called and they require an extra 799 dollars for a special item to keep the dog warm and we have to do it via Zelle. That when we knew that was a scam. They refused to pay us back because we have no more money to cover this service. They refuse to refund money.

Puppy Scammers at Work!

Requested information on a puppy from minischnoodlecastles.com. Response received and informed them that we did want to purchase the puppy. Payment transactions occurred through Zelle on 3/28/22. $600 paid to the supposed breeder, Agusta Haward at [email protected]. (Phone #406-341-0236.) Email also prints the following information: The Castle Family, Schnoodle Castle Home, Billing, Montana at the bottom. Many photos were sent, however, in retrospect, they must have "borrowed" them from another site as well as the Mini Schnoodle Castle name. Unfortunately we paid through Zelle in order to have the puppy as soon as possible. Sadly, we recently lost our retriever after 14 years and were looking forward to the arrival of a new pup. (Her name posted was Indy and she is a mini schnoodle,) We got flight information from the owner, but subsequently got an email from the transport company, Virgin Pet Transport (phone #406-204-1966) stating that we must pay a refundable deposit and rental fee of $899. This I contacted the owner and after I refused to pay that amount, he agreed to pay a portion. I paid another $751 in order to get an electronically controlled crate. The owner "Paid" the remainder (sure he did). Following an email stating that the fee had been paid, I received another email stating that the insurance on the dog had to be paid according to FAA regulations. I realized at that point that things weren't suspicious and stated that I would pay no more. The transport company threatened to report me for pet neglect! Wish they would so I could find them. The owner then contacted me stating that he was worried about the puppy being alone at the transport building and that he was surprised by the additional fee that was being charged. I expressed that I refused to pay it and that he should pick up his puppy. He responded with "all you have to do to get your puppy is pay the insurance" and that he was not the one asking for more money. I refused. Asked that a photo of the puppy with a date and time on a piece of paper be sent to me. Of course, no response when asking for the photo or a refund of my $1351.

I have reported all of this to the bank and to the police department. An attorney is investigating. I'm posting on social media and asking anyone who is willing to Share the story. It's not so much the money, although I hate to see it gone, but the principle of this entire situation. Hoping this may prevent others from going through this.
