attempting to tell them I did not order a protection subscription. They attempted to get into my checking acct and a credit card and cash app account to refund monies billed but yet to be taken from my checking - 3 different and asking to download bit coins - all saying they work for Mcafee customer service . 3 different calls for at least 30 mins asking to download apps. A third number was given
707-728-8249 but I refuse to contact it. I do not want my acct charged

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION
Contacted by email from "McAfee" regarding a pending automatic subscription charge update with instructions to call [877 730 3536] to 'cancel' my subscription to avoid a charge against my credit card.
I called the number to cancel the transaction and then followed a series of steps guided by a 'customer service representative' to process my refund. This included - as I discovered - rendering control of my computer so that all McAfee files could be removed from my system. This lead to a handoff to "Accounting" so the refund process could be concluded during which - it was alleged - $299,999.99 was transferred to my banking account instead of $299.99. - also alleged the "error" was my responsibility. This immediately triggered Accounting to claim I had mistakenly transferred the incorrect amount and I had to "fix" the problem to avoid legal issues which included arrest.
During the conversation on a separate device - I determined in-realtime there were no funds transferred to my account as alleged. I confronted the caller and an argument ensued during which I was threatened with financial claims/arrest, The call was eventually terminated.
I immediately received an email from the "Better Business Bureau" with the subject "non-active warrant". The attachment included instructions to remedy the situation by calling the agency [530 380 5730] which I did and left a message [voice-to-text system].
The salient issues of the most interest/concern to the ScamPulse.com writ large, may include:
> through my questioning - the ScamPulse.com office identified was the 'Great West+Pacific Region';
> the person identified in the "non-active warrant" letter I received was "Michael SERIO, VP/COO";
> I have noted a staffer in the Great West+Pacific Region executive staff as "Michael SEDIO, VP/COO";
> appropriation of ScamPulse.com corporate identity
> misappropriation of ScamPulse.com staffer identity
This scam was very sophisticated in its detail and orchestration. The answers to my questions during the process where met with quick explanations - i.e.,
> "I am not seeing any funds transfer into my accounts through my bank app." 'That's because your device does not have access to the same server through which the transfer was made.'
> "Okay - I will log into my account through another computer to verify." 'It's not going to make a difference because a different computer will not have access to the same server.'
> "I think this is a scam ... I see my curser moving independently." 'No worries - the computer automatically prompts the cursor after a period of inactivity so the computer avoids the 'sleep mode' ...
I appreciate any efforts you can make to shut down this scheme/scam.
