On August 1, 2017, I contacted someone through Craigslist who was "selling" tickets for a Phish concert at Madison Square Garden that evening. He pretended be a Phish fan selling me tickets, and we briefly texted and then got a phone call to discuss. I later found out he was using either a burner phone or a temporary phone number, not his actual phone humber. He had me pay him through Zelle (through my bank PNC), and then never transferred the the tickets to me on Ticketmaster as promised. He told me he was having issues transferring and had me call him a couple times and pretended he couldn't hear me, and then ghosted me. His name is Matthew Clayton Vail, and the e-mail address I used to send him the money on Zelle was [email protected]. He is an ex-con with a long rap sheet for drug and public intoxication charges. He is currently living at a motel in Tampa, Florida called the Harbor Lite Motel in Room 104.
