Received a message about receiving lottery funds from a winner of a power ball named Manuel Franco. Was directed to contact his agent with a claim code that was in the text message.

I have voluntarily decided to donate the sum of $50,000 to you as one among my 200 monthly spine phone numbers benefactor, If you get this message then your number was selected after a spin ball. To claim and receive your winnings your claim code is AQ5782, send a text to the agent in charge of dispatching the winnings with the following:-

Here is the number of James smith the agent in charge (310) 807-5365, TEXT (dont call) him for confirmation and delivery of your winnings. Of your winnings.

Scammer claims to be Manuel Franco, winner of $768 million power ball. Says he’s randomly chosen 200 people to give $2400-$20000. Gives a winning ticket number containing thirteen numbers and letters. Then it states that a person named Brian Koehler will contact via text also from the number +1(971)266-3588 to confirm and deliver your prize. We received the text from that number before the one from the so called powerball winner, so it confused my partner and asked for his full name and address. Then asked if he was ready to verify his identity and give the winning ticket number to claim the prize. That’s where I made him stop communicating. But they still got his full name and address.

I received this text - which is obviously a scam:

I got a text, saying that Mr Manuel Franco had chosen my phone number and wants to send part of his lotto winnings to me, $200,000. I immediately googled to see if this was a common scam and I found it is and a link saying to report it to the BBB. So here I am, reporting it to you!

My name is Manuel Franco , I won $768 million from the jackpot I am committed in helping selected individuals with $50,000 each. If you are getting this message, I say Congratulations to you, I hope the money goes a long way in helping out your family or financial needs. Looked up on line to see if it was a scam. I am sharing this since it said that it was a scam online.

Random text message, along with other texts from different numbers that only say "Hello" or "hi"

This individual texted me claiming to be Manuel Franco and that he selected me to receive $50,000

Received a text message:

"I'm Mr. Manuel Franco, the Powerball winner of $768 Million in Powerball Millions Jackpot, I'm donating to 200 random individuals. If you get this message then your number was selected after a spin ball. I have spread most of my wealth over a number of charities and organizations. I have voluntarily decided to donate the sum of $50,000USD to you as one of the selected 200, to verify your winnings kindly send a text to the agent number (669) 977-6939 Adam Robert for the delivery of your winning.Text and say i want to claim my winnings"

Here is the text message sent to me in quotes "Hello Congratulations!!!Myname is MANUEL FRANCO the $768 Million lottery winner click here to see my interview" (youtube web link) "If you get this message, it means you have been selected to benefit from my Charity Project aimed at touching lives and helping people, I am giving back to the needy because a giving hand never lacks. You have been radomly picked among lucky winners those getting $50,000 this week from my giveaway program on, To claim your winning, send 'Yes' to my agent MR, OLIVER JORDAN, to claim your own winning money... Here is the cellphone number to text (219) 202 5702 ."

I received a text message on my personal cell phone reading "Congratulations!!! Mr. Manual [sic] Franco, the Powerball winner of the $768 Millions Powerball Jackpot... Is donating to 40 random individuals, if you get this message then your number was selected after a spin ball. donating sum of $900,000USD. To verify your winnings text the Agent in Charge Mr. Marcus Smith (presumably scam phone number) text him now for confirmation and delivery of your winning.."

This message was sent to me and 7 other individuals in a group text.

Text saying to click on a link. I waa chosen to get 50000 by Manuel franco the lottery winner

I received text shown and replied to ask questions and they proceeded to tell me was very legit and would need my info tho. I explained was not comfortable doing so.. I asked to prove it was Legit and they said

“ Well you got our link already you can go back there to see how it goes this is real don’t doubt the opportunity”. I did not proceed and looked up online. Beware!!!
