Amanda is extremely unprofessional to say the least. We had two previous shoots with Amanda and had great experiences. She rescheduled our second shoot two times but we are understanding and accepted the new dates for the reschedule and the photos and experience was great. We had two more shoots booked with her, one shoot that was supposed to be on April 1st.That shoot was rescheduled again not once but twice pushed out to May. Again, very understanding and we worked our schedule out to make the shoot. We had two more upcoming shoots and which was supposed to be May 28th around 6pm. The night before she once again says she needs to reschedule for the next morning for 8am slots which was not enough notice for us and she offered a refund which we accepted and also said we were still looking forward to our shoot in June 10. She never replied to my email about the refund but I did not follow up as we had a good relationship and again, we are understanding and we trusted she would get back about the refund. Two days later we get an email thanking us for coming to out shoot (that was cancelled) and asking to leave reviews. I replied just saying I just wanted to make sure we werent marked as there by accident and that we would still be getting the refund offered and just wanted to clear up the confusion as I am sure anyone would. She immediately messaged me on facebook saying its a generated email and she gives refunds in 60-90 days (which is insane by the way). Again, I was understanding, I said thank you for clearing up the confusion and AGAIN said we couldnt wait for our photos in june. She replied again saying my message came across concerning? All photos of the conversations will be attached but she pretty much said if we didnt want her as a photographer then she can just refund june as well. I was pretty confused because the conversation to me was civil and I apologized if the tone was misconstrued as tone can be hard to interpret over text but that we were sorry it came off that way to her and I also mentioned that it she thought the situation was just soooo upsetting to her for asking questions that if she didnt think we were fit for her either then just let us know! She read it and never responded so I assumed that she understood that there was a miscommunication error and that we were good. With zero warning and once again last minute and without even emailing or messaging I got an email 6 days before our June session that our session was cancelled. Also, let me note that the session she cancelled the night before where she offered 8am slots wae because she accepted to go work a wedding and cancel all 8-10 sessions booked that night to work the wedding instead to obviously get more money and she already had all our money as you pay up front for all sessions in full. We did Christmas minis with her which were great and we paid extra for cards to be made and sent to us to get sent out in time for the holidays. We had to ask multiple times the status of our cards which we knew she physically had because she sent photos to us of them and kept giving us the run around that “theyll be shipped to you tomorrow things came up” which literally never happened. Because she never shipped out cards she had to drive them to us so we could get them shipped out and everyone didnt get their christmas cards until 2-1 days before Christmas which was super disappointing but we did not complain and still thanked her for at least driving them out during christmas week. She decided to block me for saying shes unprofessional and not having decency to give any notice and we were beyond understanding and polite until she did this 6 days before our new shoot which we had hair appointments scheduled for and our day planned around this. She double books and accepts money up front and then only does the event that pays more money. She scheduled 8 of us for photos between 5-6pm and the night before she let us know something came up when in reality she booked a wedding that same night but took all 8 of our money, didnt provide the service and did the wedding instead.
