The imposter, Michael McCollough, claims to provide job search services under a company name of Search Professionals out of Draper Utah. He was referred to me by Mike Baxter with Monarch Search Group out of Las Vegas. Mike Baxter claims Michael was legit. I engaged Michael in a lengthy conversation about his services. I was very reluctant to engage in his services and I had a sneaky filling that something wasn't right. Michael wanted $4500 up front followed by a $4500 payment once he assisted me in finding a position that I would accept. I questioned him extensively about this process and approach and he was willing go give me a lot of information. I sent Micheal a $2500 deposit to start with the intent of paying the remaining balance in 30 days. Michael talks a good game about his assist with connecting with recruiters to find jobs on the hidden market. He also claims to provide interview prep and coaching services as part of the engagement. He doesn't follow up very often and seems to be out of pocket most of the time. He sends emails at very odd times of the day. He has only provided me some recruiters which I've had to do the leg work to connect with. He hasn't brought me any job leads. I've sent him multiple text messages with no response. I'm going to take Legal action against him to try and recover funds. I will also engage the local authorities or FBI. This guy can't continue to do this to people. Particularly those of us out of work and living on limited funds. Beware.
