We saw an ad for Joann Fabrics "bankruptcy" going-out-of-business sale, which led to a website (joann-us.com) advertising 80-90% off of various things. We selected a dozen items in a shopping cart, and then noticed an additional "promotional discount" added. At that point, we noticed the website name was not Joann's real website, compared the two online, and shut down the fake website without providing any information.

On Pinterest, I came across an advertisement for a Joann Fabric "going out of business" sale. The website was an exact replica of Joann's official site. I added a serger to my cart and proceeded to checkout. After entering my card information, I immediately received a fraud alert text from my bank.

This prompted me to investigate further, and I discovered that the website was a scam! I am now heading to the bank to get a new card.

Please spread the word about this scam so no one else falls victim to it or has their hard-earned money stolen.

I was targeted while scrolling on pinterest by an ad claiming Joann Fabrics was going out of business and prices were 90% off. All of the merchandise matched the genuine merchandise on Joanns legitimate website. I created a cart but never put a purchase through because the checkout portion was very suspicious. Otherwise, the website was very similar to Joanns, but not identical when I looked it up to compare. The scammers have now somehow recalled the items in my cart and sent me an email stating provoking a purchase. It stated I added items to my cart but have not purchased, and listed all of the items I had intended to buy.

Page posing as clearance/closeout page for Joann Fabric store. Ad found on Pinterest. Made purchase and merchant name on transaction is Univa Pimosports Lif. I was able to dispute transaction as I used a credit card. Page looks deceptively similar to the true page.

The ad was on Pinterest for a going out of business 90% off sale for Joann. The ad took you to a site that looked very much like the official Joann site, and with our local store looking like it’s going out of business soon I fell for it. I didn’t realize it was a scam until I already made three purchases.

Advertisement on Facebook. Store closing, JoAnn Fabrics. Sewing machines and such. Basically liquidation sale of inventory. I thought I was buying a small sewing machine and sewing machine accessories. After they took my payment I did not receive a receipt, invoice number, shipping details or anything I believed I was purchasing. I am unable to contact the company. My payment company wants proof of purchase, but the only proof of the transaction is from my payment company. My payment company did not get a detailed receipt. It also states the purchase was in person, which is incorrect.

Add on Instagram saying Joann Fabric closing sale and has the safe lock in web name. Legit looking sight looked real and I did google if Joann is going out of business and it says that they did file for bankruptcy so I thought it was real. I used bank card to make purchase and never received anything through email for confirmation. So I google Joann scams and this same website popped up
