I saw an ad on Facebook for a Joann Fabrics closure sale. Items were being advertised as 90% off. I ordered a couple of things and noticed when I got the confirmation that the email was suspect and looking the site up on Google didn't give any results. BEWARE!

Found the website on Facebook stating it was online Joann's. Followed the link and website stated that they are an "Official" website for Joann's. Ordered 3 separate orders, all paid through PayPal, and all state that they were handed off to currier and that the information will be updated. First order was placed on 02/25/2025 and have not received the order and no update on the website. The phone number for customer service is linked to a medical company, and the email address comes back as undeliverable.

Facebook ad for this website that looks like a outlet for Joann Fabrics. The ad looks legit because Joann is currently closing all of their locations so the items being clearanced makes sense but the prices were so low it looked weird. Doing some more looking into it I found reports of other people scammed by the site & then noticed the email address on the contact page is definitely not an official business address.

Ad posted on Facebook claiming 90% off everything. Name on ad was Fabric&Yarn Closeout, took me to website www.joann-fabricsale.com. Looks very much like actualJoann website. After making purchase, got what looked like legit confirmation saying conf email would be sent shortly. Immediately rcvd text & email from my bank asking if it was fraudulent purchase. Should have looked closer at fine print in fake website.

On fake site, green bar at top of page flashes "Clearance Sale - 80% Off Everything" (different from FB ad touting 90% off) & "Free Shipping Over $50."

Facebook ad text begins:

"We are truly grateful for your love and support for our stores . . ."

And text includes incorrectly placed commas, extra spaces.

I fell for a bankruptcy sale. The site was copied to look exactly like Joann Fabrics official website. The sales were listed as 80-90% off. It was only when I got an email about the purchase did I notice the name and business did not match.

Scammer posted website on facebook claiming they are Joann Fabrics with 80% off merchandise. Same products as the real Joann’s. Gave me an order number. After a week I checked my order and supposedly it was handed off to the carrier - FedEx Express. Never received any item or tracking info so emailed the seller to the service email listed on their site. Mailer-Daemon error - email could not be delivered. When I looked up their phone number the ScamPulse.com scam report is the first entry.

This was a linked site on facebook. The home page has a photo of a joann store w/a Bankruptcy ink stamp in the front. The home page is similar in font and style of joann, as well as product descriptions.
