Late in the evening of December 14, 2022, my boyfriend found a football jersey on sale for $36.99 on jerseywholesaleshop.com that he said he'd like for Christmas. I asked him if the website was reputable, and he assured me that they would not be able to use the NFL logo or the Fanatics logo that was displayed prominently on the site if they were not certified partners. I began the process of ordering the jersey.

When checking out, the only option for shipping was standard shipping which was $18.99. Under the checkbox, two lines read "Standard Shipping 4-7 Business Days (UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE)." This led me to believe I would receive my product within 7 business days.

On December 15, 2022, I received an email at 12:02 AM EST that my "order on www.jerseywholesaleshop.com on 15/12/2022 06:02 UTC has been confirmed by the Merchant." This also included a link to "Ecommerce" which appeared to be a form to request a refund.

At 12:15 AM EST on December 15, 2022, I received an email from "Dana" ([email protected]) that "the order has gone through" and "If there is any trouble, we will contact you in time!" This email included my order number, shipping address, phone number, and "order list." On the order list was the jersey I had ordered ($36.99), subtotal ($36.99), shipping fee ($18.99), insurance fee ($3.00), tax fee ($5.90), and total ($64.88).

From there, I received no further contact until December 20, 2022, when I received my tracking number from "Dana" at 5:36 AM EST. This email also included an offer of "5% of your friends' order total as commission." At 11:09 AM, I signed up for text updates on the tracking for the shipment. I was informed "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item 12/17/22 4:02pm WOODRIDGE IL 60517" immediately after.

My next update, which I received at 12:34 PM EST on December 21, 2022, was "Arrived Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item 12/21/2022 8:32pm WOODRIDGE IL 60517." I found this odd, since it was over 7 hours prior to that time, but decided the "Shipping Partner Facility" must have the time on their scanners wrong, or some other simple explanation.

At 12:34 PM on December 24, I was texted the last update on my package, which stated "Departed Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item 12/24/2022 11:54pm WOODRIDGE IL 60517." I again found this odd but kept optimistic.

On January 3, 2023, I decided to contact the seller using the website I had ordered from. In the contact form, I said that it had been 11 business days since my order was confirmed and that I had not received an update on shipping in over a week. Additionally, I expressed concern because I ordered the package to my home address thinking it would arrive before I needed to leave for college, but it seemed it would not arrive before then. The website said that I would be contacted no more than 24 hours after sending the contact form in. However, it took two days to receive a message from the seller.

I received the reply email at 5:02 AM EST on January 4, 2023. In their reply, "L Dana" ([email protected]) said that "usually shipping takes 12-15 business days" and the "package is under custom clearance now, the status will be updated once it arrives in your country" and to "please keep patient." Also included in the email was a link to track the package.

When tracking the package on the USPS website, two more updates show that the package again arrived at a shipping partner facility in Woodridge, Illinois, on January 2, 2023, at 6:10 pm, and departed a shipping partner facility in Woodridge, Illinois, at 6:10 pm. I again found this odd, but waited until after the 15th business day from my order confirmation to recontact the seller.

On January 7, 2023, at 5:22 PM EST, I informed the seller that the day prior marked the 15th business day since my order was confirmed. I also informed them that I was leaving the address the package was addressed to the following day. I expressed frustration, since it had been 24 calendar days since my order was confirmed and I was originally quoted "4-7 Business Days." I also expressed confusion at how my package could be held up in customs when USPS seems to be telling me that the package originated and was at a shipping partner facility in Illinois, which is a state in my country. I asked what could be done to rectify this situation.

Since then, I have received no further contact and no further updates on tracking my shipment. Today, I used the Ecommerce link provided in the initial confirmation email to "dispute the transaction," since the "product [was] not received." I have received no email or text confirmation that my dispute has been received.

When looking again for the website, I found that jerseywholesaleshop.com does still exist, but looks completely different than the website I placed my order on. I've checked reviews for the website, and none are good.

I also looked up the Shipping Partner, which USPS lists as FAST TRACK EXPRESS INC. and have found various reviews with stories very similar to mine, leading me to believe there is no package and I will not be receiving the jersey that I purchased.
