Scammer posted a job offer on LinkedIn for a Remote Data Entry Clerk. I filled out the job application and did a survey. I gave them bank information for my direct deposit. They sent me a check for “equipment” but had me try to send through Zelle and the recipient was a personal email. They gave me 2: [email protected] and [email protected] after I told them I wasn’t comfortable doing that, they got angry with me and demanded the money back via bitcoin. bc1qqrsru8zgf5msrdu6nssm6ct58l7d3nsuq48353 or through Apple gift cards. I’m not sure what to do as of right now. I haven’t lost any money but I still have their $1950 and don’t know what’s the safest way to return the money.
