I was reached out to by Jakob on instagram. He told me he was an artist and wanted to use one of my pictures on my account to do a painting. He said his "client" would send me a check via email and that i woukd send over all the money except $500 which i would get. Before the check had even deposited, he was requesting hundreds of dollars to be sent to his "paint supplier". The check deposited in to my bank accoount so i dlsent the money. Shortly after doing so the bank claimed the check as fraud however the money was still taken from my bank account, putting me into the negatives. I reached out to cashapp- where i had sent the money and they basically said they couldnt do anything about it since the money was already accepted from the other person. I reached out to Jakob stating he had scammed me and he said he hadnt and that he would work on getting my money back if i were to download some 3rd party payment app and bought a $100 itunes gc or sephora gc- classic scammer action. I told him i would not be doing that and since then he has been trying to contact me via instagram. I do not have his account fully blocked in case i still need to provide any more information, however, he is heavily restricted from accessing any of my profile information.
