A gentleman by Bruce Perkins [email protected] said he saw my resume on Cal-Jobs for a Data Entry Position. It sounded to good to be true with the $22 for training than $35 after training. Just like all of the above people who submitted what they received from the Company is just like me. I clicked on the website with no pictures or instagram, etc about the company. I even called the 213- 791 2955 provided on their website and its an apartment complex. I even mapped their address on Google and it shows an apartment complex. If they were a business they would not be in an apartment. Below is the information that we talked via Microsoft Teams.

Customers would have an appointment to get certified and the instructors are always late and do not call in. I would have to contact the Manager, Supervisor and try to get another instructor. I learned how to be patient, listen and be there for them and apologize. It’s where an Organization has rules and guidelines to follow and the employee must adhere to them. Done.

I am the one who made a suggestion about being crossed trained to learn the Roster Department. The department was too busy to assist clients on the phone and our department in Customer Service were always receiving angry callers. The clients wanted to be helped instead of being transferred. In turned we were trained and were able to help which made the clients very happy customers.

I got a text saying they found my info on CALJOBS and thought I would be a good fit for the data entry position and asked for my email which I provided. - Petaluma, CA, USA • Feb 05, 2024

They asked me to interview on CAL Jobs. The interview was through chat only. They said as a company they would provide me equipment for a home office, but then told me during the interview they would send me money to get the materials.

That would mean they would have retrieve my bank information right away and did ask me what banking institution I had as one of the questions.

They were advertising a salary unrealistic to the job duties for a data entry clerk which was $35 an hour to lure people in.

They didn't want me to ask any questions and preferred only me to answer their questions. In addition to that, I asked for specific information and they really couldn't answer my questions very well.

I did ask for the website and while they did provide me a link, the pages are broken and it's just a posted page with a advertising this to be a custom home building but there is no emails, photos or anything to legitimize this as a legal business.

Furthermore, it's a LLC operating out of an apartment complex which means as a construction company it's presumed to be all digital. However, their website doesn't provide any showroom or anything to make this seem like a real business.

In addition, they asked me if I knew about code of conduct and privacy laws. That is a very bizzare question to ask unless they do illegal activity under the guise of this LLC.

Yes!

[9:10 AM] joseph brush

Are you currently employed ? If yes, tell me about it and have you ever worked from home or online before. If no, when and what was the nature of the job?

[9:14 AM] Kristina Moseley

I am currently not employed, however prior to this interview I was in the process to accept a new position. I worked previously for RH or Restoration Hardware which is a premier luxury furniture company. It was mainly in office but I did work 2-3 times a week at home as a hybrid role.

This would be my first full remote position, but I have been seeking this for a very long time.

My last job consisted of mainly customer service but due to the nature of our company and high standards, I did a lot of multiple job functions to ensure that we maintained our brand reputation. I did everything from billing, product information, resolving complex problems with shipments and deliveries etc.

How many years experience do you have in the position you are applying for? How many years experience do you have in sorting and filing documentation? What is Your clerical speed(WPM) and are you a military Veteran or did you ever join the military?

[9:17 AM] Kristina Moseley

I don't have any direct experience with data entry as a position, but collectively I have over 15 years in customer service which did include clerical work. Everything that you have listed in the job description is something I am familiar with. So, I would say about 10 years of sorting, filing, and documentation.

My WPM is about 60-65.

I am not a veteran nor served in the military.

DONE.

[9:18 AM] joseph brush

Assuming you are selected, what will be your strategy for next 60 days? Have you ever had a problem with your peer? Can you give us an example?

[9:24 AM] Kristina Moseley

My goal in the next 60 days is to show you how dedicated and hard working I am to accomplish your company goals and help streamline any challenges in the work flow.

While I do feel most comfortable working independently, I do like to partner with peers when I need help or to get a project and task completed faster. Teamwork has always been how many things can be resolved and a way to innovate better solutions for the company to succeed.

I have had some peer concerns in my past role. I had a team member who was promoted to being an assistant leader and then the main team leader. When I got promoted to being just the team lead about 8 months ago, she kept finding ways to undermine my work and not work collaboratively on solutions to help other team members. I approached her in conversations in how we could resolve our differences. It was challenging at first but it did improve over time.

What is your greatest weakness and achievement? Using four words, how would your former colleagues/superiors describe You?

[9:30 AM] Kristina Moseley

My greatest weakness is over analyzing or over thinking. I seek to find the ultimate solutions and sometimes I have a tendency to strategize before taking actions. It's important to have a plan in place but actions also need to be part of that as well.

My greatest achievement was winning the RH Award just under a year of being there exemplifying all the qualities of a great leader.

Four words that would describe me are driven, kind, resourceful, and hard working.

I would describe myself as versatile, fun, resourceful and intelligent.

Do you have a printer, photocopier and fax machine? If hired, when would you be available to start? How will you like to be paid if hired. Weekly or bi-weekly? Check or direct deposit?

I have a multi function printer that is a photocopier, scanner and printer. However, it's designed for small scale work and not for a company. I do not have a fax machine.

I can start 2/18/24 as I have a upcoming vacation.

I prefer weekly but I am open to bi-weekly as well. I like to do direct deposit.

How do you think you can contribute to the goals of the company?

I personally think that I am a very focused and detail oriented that I can help the company find a lot of errors. I personally love to research. When I was at UCSC ( University of California Santa Cruz), I only studied and did additional research with my professors as I was an older student and I really love to work with information and numbers.

I really enjoy deadlines because they help me seek different solutions and practical ways to work to ensure that your company can finalize things in a timely manner. I seek to get things done so I can have time to offer more of myself to learn new roles if there is room to grow as well.

Kristina Moseley9:50 AM

Absolutely! Being that RH was a high end experience for many, I did have a gentleman who was designing a brand new home in Canada. While he had been exclusively working with our design team in our galleries (showrooms), he did have some complications with the custom bed or rugs not being correct upon shipment and a lot of indecision with the colors to match with the pieces being put in the home.

I spent about 6 months helping him and his wife digitally pick out the right pieces of furniture and made additional efforts to educate myself on the products he wanted and the color in different lighting. I went to work with one of our closer galleries and followed up on every delivery to ensure he was satisfied.

There were many errors that happened, so I ended up discounting previous pieces he had gotten for the delays and errors.

He wrote to my leadership above me for the impeccable service and how I made a difficult situation easier and enjoyable. I helped retain his loyalty and he felt good about the purchases he made.

I'm really good at speed and accuracy to multi task. Everyday I worked had a lot of high level detail and collaboration with our teams that I feel most comfortable being busy the entire time I am working. This included working on multi platforms, responding or writing emails, taking phone calls and listening to very lengthy concerns, and closing out many resolutions for each customer as well.

As a team lead, I did everything the same as my associate role but did have additional duties to resolve team members issues quickly in a chat format. I not only had to multi task my own duties, but manage to help all other team members the same way.

Kristina Moseley

10:09 AM

My toughest experience was when one of my customers was having a struggles in getting exactly what she wanted for the output price in what she was paying.

Prior to working with me, she had problems with multiple sofas not working out with a design she did at one of our New York galleries. She went to another one in Manhattan and it was getting better until her designer left the company.

This issue was that there were additional sofa cushions she wanted with her sofa as this room was being used for her daughter's baby shower.

Our leather sofas were custom made and that meant the sofa cushions to match them were ordered after and would also be customer. Leather varies in our dye lots which was going to create a variation in the color.

I worked to get the vendors to match the sofa cushions in time for the event but on the day of delivery, the drivers accidentally slashed the sofa cushion. We couldn't order just the cushion so we had to do a full reorder since she was planning to keep this long term.

While we worked diligently to replace everything for her, it took a very long time and there was production errors in the leather such as using unaesthetic parts of the leather and cushions didn't match the sofa.

In the end after many solutions we offered, we had to settle with some of the sofa being mismatched and offer a discount.

It didn't feel good that the situation was beyond my control, but she was so happy for the dedication I made to resolve it and that was something that stood out from any company she ever worked with.

Regarding privacy and code of conduct, I presume this is the manners in which the company operates. There is an expectation for all workers to follow protocols and procedures to keep a safe and healthy work environment. I believe this would extend to how we don't disclose personal information on our operation practices and adhering to a at will termination. In addition, I assume there are laws and regulations from the federal and state level about what is needed to remain in operation such making sure not disclose sensitive and personal information as well.

As an interviewer, I rate you as a 7. I would like more engagement or the ability to ask questions in between.

Joseph,

I think that I would be a great candidate for this position for the following. As you will review my answers in this chat, I am a hard working and dedicated employee who would be comfortable working under deadlines and independently. I seek to find all the solutions to any issues the company is facing including having an acute focus to errors and details. I strive to resolve and complete anything given to me in the most timely manner possible. I'm not afraid to ask questions and I'm very curious to always learn more. I seek for any opportunities to help your company excel that would also support any career advancements for myself as well. Lastly, I have been in customer service for 15 years and have worked with a very diverse background of people. I know the importance of listening intently and being genuine and kind can really help make someone's day better. You are not just getting a clerk, but someone dedicated to superior service that would help your company stand out the most.

Please look up their address. You will see that there is a apartment complex for a personal residency. Since there are numerous companies with the same name, I believe they are imitating other big companies in effort to look legitimate. With the salary they are offering and where they are located, it doesn't make any sense or connect.

Furthermore, construction companies have a company worksite and very high expectations that are beyond the realm of what they are offering.

While they did email me through CAL Jobs, there was no actual job posting and everything was sent through my personal email only.

Unfortunately they do have my name but that is all. I seek that you can report this and get them shut down.
