Recevied the call at 3:55pm The caller informed me that I had a warrant for tax evasion. I asked the woman who called how much was true and how much was false and she immediately hung up on me. I then attempted to call back 5 times and finally a forgein man answered and I told him to leave us americans alone pretty much in nice words. THIS HAS TO STOP! I pay my taxes like everyone else.

Caller identified herself an a collector for IRS audit done on my taxes from 2011 to 2016 resulting in my owing close to $9000 due to an error on my taxes all 5 years. The amount included late fees and penalties. I had to pay the same day to prevent the freeze on all my assets and being arrested. I had two options to prevent the issuance of the arrest warrant...pay the amount due or get a law and go to D.C. to fight the IRS in court. When asked for a breakdown of the funds "owed", I was told that after that they could set up any date I wanted for the auditor to come to my home to show me the breakout but the funds had to be were received first.

Please note that I currently live in Florida, but the scammer had my old Georgia address.

- Fort Payne, AL, USA

They called and said the irs knows I have been withholding funds. I told them not to call me again and that I was reporting them they called from the phone number 2183090160

- Indianapolis, IN, USA

I've had several messages saying there was a warrant for my arrest. I called the number back and was told I owed the IRS money and to prevent being arrested I needed to make payment arrangements. I hung up.

- Winston Salem, NC, USA

got a call saying she was from the IRS, hung up, didn't get anymore details.

- District Heights, MD, USA

They call and won't give their name but will tell you that you owe money and if not payed you will lose your license, bank account will be froze, and a warrant for your arrest will be issued.

I was called two days in a row with a message stating that I needed to call 210-338-6264 cause there is an issue that warrants my attention, if not local cops will be knocking at my door. I called the next day and it sounds like a telemarking service and a woman with an India accent tells me that the local sheriff will arrive if I don't pay my taxes from 2013, 2014, 2015 of $555. I told her how do you know who I am and she says my first name only. She then proceeds to read this statement stating if I hang up the local sheriff will be sent out. I told her that I was going to contact the ScamPulse.com since she could not confirm that she was a government official and wouldn't send an email confirming her companies identity. She even restated that she was the IRS and I told her what does I.R.S. stand for in her company and she said Internal Revenue Service. She admitted that she was working for the government agency.

This call was received for the 2nd time via a different phone number. However this time this man sounding of middle eastern descent was very nasty and so was the woman we spoke to. She informed us that a warrant was out for me as well as my husband. Told us that serious allegations were pressing against us and that if we didn't make a payment cops from our local area would come out and pick us up. We are eldery folks in our mid to late 70s this was very scary and I wanted to warn others.

- Ogden, UT, USA

301-241-0771 called to say I was being investigated for tax fraud. When I call back the number the voicemail just says leave a message and beeps.

- Lake Hopatcong, NJ, USA

They said they were IRS and had my SS3 and if I didn't go tot a cvs and pay back taxes today I would be arrested.

I need help they have my number

- Toledo, OH, USA

Received a call from the above number from the State of Illinois. Left a message saying that I was going to be arrested due to 4 serious allegations against my name unless I called within 48 hours. I called them back to see who answered. Person answered saying they were the IRS. Sounded like he was on a mobile phone. Told him I was calling the authorities. Don't answer if a call comes from this number.

I have received at least 3 automated calls on separate days claiming to be the IRS with important information about a lawsuit and requesting I call. The automated voice does not say a name in greeting, simply states "you". The last call was today (Sept. 26, 2017) at 10:16am giving me the number to call as (202) 280-7273. The caller ID on my phone showed the number calling as 2-022-280-7273. The first call was answered by someone else in the household who disconnected the call as soon as she realized the call was automated. I answered the second call and dismissed it when the automated voice sounded "foreign" to me.

- Rayne, LA, USA

They first left a voicemail saying if I did not call back a warrant for my arrest would be issued. When I called back a foreign lady asked my name and zipcode so she could pull up my case. She then informed me I owed 2000 dollars and I had two choices to fight it or pay it. If I chose to fight it and lost I would be charged a larger sum and risk being arrested and no longer allowed to work in the United States or I could choose option 2 and just pay the money I owed.

To avoid facing magistrate, federal charges please call 716-442-0041.
