Didn't know how to classify the type of scam. I received a phone call from number 213-425-0146. It's a recorded message that states the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. The lady's voice on the recorded message was very slow and hard to understand. I called the number back, and a rude foreign man answered. I asked him who he represents, and he stated Investigation Department of the IRS. I told him I don't believe there's an IRS investigation against me and he said in a few minutes someone will be calling me back from the Sheriff's office to issue a warrant for my arrest. SCAM. I told him I will be reporting this scam.

Phone msg saying we or atty of record needs to contact Officer Hatta Grey from the IRS at the above number. She said this was time sensitive and don't fail to contact them. Return the call before they take any action against us.

This call came through at 8:27am on 9-20-2016. We obviously didn't return the call, so don't know what they would have tried to get from us.

They were very threatening and said I would be arrested, accounts froze and license revoked if I did not get in the car right then with my 2 yr old and drive to my Bank or a Walgreens to transfer $7900 that I owed IRS from 2010-2014. He said I was to remain on the phone with him even while driving if the connection was lost he would send the police and warrant out for my arrest. I was scared and crying and said I lost connection and called my dad who told me it was a scam.

I've never answered the phone when they call but they always leave the same message from both numbers above. One number is from San Francisco, Ca. and the other is from Bedford, NY. They want you to call their headquarters immediately after the message to talk to IRS Agent. I've also never called the number back because I know that the IRS doesn't make phone calls to collect taxes. I'm sure if I answered the phone or had called back they would have tried to get me to send them money or give them my bank account information. I have been getting calls from these two numbers for the last few weeks on a daily basis 4 or 5 times a day

This company called with an automated recording system stating if you do not return their call legal actions may occur. I called the number and they stated my name and birthdate but then asked me to verify my last four digits of my social security. At this point I noticed that the individual that I was talking to was a foreigner and the people in the background were foreign as well. So I began to ask them for their information (badge number and name) and then they hung up on me.

I received (2) phone calls so far claiming We owe the IRS & that the IRS Is/or has filed suit against us,.? I only have one of these calls saved to my answering machine because I had answered the first call and hung up on the first call before they could finish & both these calls were recorded messages. These calls came in on 09-15-2016 @1:12pm from (318)-554-9462 & on 09-16-2016 @8:06am from (401)-239-9054. The 2nd call left a phone# for us to call them back, I did not, Nor will I call them back.

I received a recorded call on my answering machine at home. The caller said she was from the IRS Tax Dept and that a lawsuit had been filed against me. If I did not "IMMEDIATELY" return the call to 315-504-2201 I would be arrested and taken to jail.

I received a phone call saying I had a Federal Tax case against me, case # 9165 and I was charged with tax fraud against the US Treasury and to call their number before I had to go before a magistrate judge. The number to call was 844-878-7616. I did not call it as I know my taxes are current and that the IRS would not contact me this way.
