Indie Treasure Reports & Reviews (131)

This company solicited me on Instagram duped me thinking that if i sent them a photo that i was entering a contest to be in the NJ 2022 calendar.
as it turned out they only have email no phone or website and emailed me to say send in 21.95 i was picked as a winner.
Promised a calendar by 11/21/21 never came.
I emailed them 50 x no response.

I submitted my picture through the ad on Facebook and yay! My picture was accepted. I was so excited! I quickly ordered 2, 1 for me and 1 for my grandmother who would've been so excited for me, it was supposed to be her Christmas present. Well that was in late October, the money came out of my account and I haven't heard back since, it's now the 16th of December. No order number, no confirmation email, nothing! So I emailed them back, still no response... so now I'm out 44$ plus tax and shipping. I'm livid.

I did the same ordered 2. There's no phone number too

Yeah, I fell for this too but I did get the calendar. I could kick myself for not checking into this more like I usually do. I hope nobody else does this and looses their money! I will be making sure I post in Facebook that this company is a scam!

Send you a text message that you won a calender photo contest. Then give you a discount to buy it. Take your money but never receive the merchandise

I see several complaints about not receiving the calender. I haven't ordered yet but I was told the publication date was Jan. 11th. Was anyone told a sooner date?

I submitted and got into the calendar which was enough for me. Seeing the reviews here is very interesting. I have a choice to buy the calendar or not, right so not really a scam as I see it.People think its a wall calendar but apparently it is not. I will wait and see when the calendar is online to purchase but most likely won't buy one. Just a lesson to learn in this thing called life. By the way the term "indie" is for independent productions such as music and arts which is self produced.

Its more like a book. They make it sound like you were chosen but everyone that sends in a submission gets to buy a calendar with that submission in it. Very cheaply made materials. Almost like coloring book pages in a dated journal format, not all all like a wall calendar.

I feel so stupid! I submitted a photo through our local newspaper and a few weeks later I got that infamous text saying my photo had been accepted. So I was thrilled and told the world that my picture would be in the calendar! Of course I pre-ordered the calendar and now my order detail says it won’t be shipped until 12/29 (originally to be shipped 12/18). Now that I have read the reviews of this company’s tactics, I am embarrassed that I fell for this marketing scam and believed that my photo was accepted for publication. Not sure what I will tell my friends and family who want to buy the calendar when it is printed. Ugh. But I have attached my photo so I get some views on it at least! Haha! Sedona in the fall is magnificent. #redfaced #I’masucker #stupidme

I hate to admit it but I fell for it as well. I’m always telling my Mom to be careful but stupid me fell for it. As long as they don’t over charge my credit card, I guess it will be a lesson learned.

Me too...

I saw this advertizement for sending in a photo ofyour state for a calendar. I had to send in $19.98 and my photo. I sent the payment at the end of October. I heard nothing from them,so I sent in an e-mail, askong when it was coming out. I did not hear from them until November.. They sent a text, stating they would be out,the weekend of the third week of November, it did not arrive, so I sent an e-mail. They asked me to send my name and phone number. I did not get a reply,so I sent another e-msil. I finally got a notice from USPS it was coming in the mail. I received it today, Dec. 12. I opened it and was surprised it wasnotthe ususl calendar size. I looked on the page they said my picture was on. I expected a normal sized page, but it was a page of my picture, 2"X1", along with several others. This was an absolute rip off and not worth the money!.

I received the wrong calendar. I've sent them an email and haven't received a response back. Plus, disappointed that there are 16 small pictures per page, unlike a normal calendar. If everyone pays 19.99 a calendar they are making lots of money off of it!
Very disappointed.

Hey, same problem here, except I have not even had a text or anything. who did you email. this smacks of a scam. wouldn't be surprised if they didn't sell their bank of photos on shutterstock for extra money at our expense...

I ordered 4 calendars in total. Two of them will be from Colorado the other two are Minnesota calendars. A total of $80.86 was taken from my checking account. Indie Treasures said that I would receive an email concerning my orders as my pictures were selected. These orders were placed on December 1, 2021
Is there anything that can be done.

They probably laughing their heads off we're here in USA and their scam is Indie guess where they're located at what country..scammers of the biggest form .India ya'llz.

I summed my pictures and they sent me a text and I was excited about having my pictures in a calendar and puzzle i ordered the lovely Kentucky calendar for 30.00 and never got anything.

I ordered the Pennsylvania one for the same reasons and got it 3 weeks later.

I can't say much as I'm new to this all, but I did send a picture away and just like everyone else here mine got accepted. I was so happy and thought it's too good to be true, and maybe it is who knows, but anyways I ordered one and hoping for the best. Just the fact that my picture is shown for people to see, even if it's in a thumbnail of pictures with everyone's else, it still makes me happy. A lot of peoples comments here are saying that they thought it was a full calendar, and it's a scam because of that. It says in the description section that this calendar comes in book form, that it can be hung but better for a desk, you can also check out previous calendars that have been published to get an idea of what they look like. Again I'm all new to this, and thought I would look into it a little more and read everything first before I order so when I do get the product I can't say I didn't know when clearly I did since i read before ordering. I would hate to see this company marked as a scam because people refused to read before ordering, Just saying.

I saw an ad on Facebook about submitting pictures to an upcoming calender, so I submitted and paid my $19.99, and possibly shipping ? And they texted me that they will send it on Nov 20th, and now it's December 7th, I thought they were legit, but I guess not, hope you don't these people that are scamming us

I received a text today that my beautiful sunset pic in AR was selected for the 2022 calendar. I was so excited! Things like this just don't happen to me. If I pre-ordered I would get 20% off. Calendar not for sale until Dec 21st. It went into detail saying how it's a desktop calendar. And there's many pictures not just one large one for the month. I'm on a fixed income. So this is still a lot of money for me. I'm cautious about anything online. So I did my research. SCAM! My heart goes out to the people who have lost their hard earned money

I fell for this scam. I was expecting a calendar that could be hung on a wall. What I got was a book of calendar pages with thumbprint photos on the opposite page. My photo is not a full page. I left my 2 cents worth on their Facebook post. I'll try to leave a review wherever I can. ???

+9

At least you got yours, I ordered 2 in October and I still haven't received mine.

Probably the biggest marketing scheme I've ever seen Everyone gets accepted, and they tell their friends and family and everyone buys a calendar I submitted an awful photo to see if ID be accepted too I was accepted and given the same text about ordering a calendar Doesn't make much sense And it is a brand-new company, so some people are sending money for a product not even out yet

+8

Should I be changing my credit card info? I'm with Tangerine and it's quite a headache.

+2

WARNING PLEASE READ SCAM!
I also recieved the text messages that my photo was excepted. I am always cautious about on line purchasing. So I wanted to see there reaction when I emailed they and told them I had a very large order of about 25 calendars and will have a lot more, but I needed to see the calender to show my picture in it and I would be ready to purchase 25 now. They got back to me asap asked for my number associated wirh the picture I sent in. Gave them my phone number and NOTHING AT ALL NO RESPONSE. I emailed the several times for update etc. NOTHING! SO YES THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE 100% SCAM. DO NOT ORDER A THING FROM THEM.

+9

I'm trying to figure out if this is real or not because I work so hard baking and trying to take good photos , so I can be accepted for something and this will be a gift to me after what I been through this year to win something

+6

Scam. Your photo ends up being a thumbnail amongst a page of thumbnails.

No its not real SCAM

If you notice, they don't show the pictures in the calendar in the add. What they are doing is putting your picture in a calendar that's marketed back to you. Everyone that submits a picture gets the notice its been selected and then they print the calendar with your picture in it just for you to buy.

+22

Yes but it's also horrible quality and no calendar usability. A big fat zero and a waste of time and money of you buy ANY.

I was wondering if this was the case. I am not spending 20. Bucks for a picture they claim is there. I won't spend 20 bucks until I see the calender. Was your picture selected? If so what state?

I too submitted a photo for their calendar for Rhode Island 2022 after seeing ad on Facebook. Recieved same message as everyone else saying my photo was selected and I could purchase and gave me discount code. I purchased 3 (almost $60). After waiting several weeks and not hearing anything I reached out to them by email and FB messenger. I wanted to know when I was going to receive the calenders. This is the answer I received back from them...
Response from Indie Treasure
"The calendar is estimated to be published on November 20th, 2021, at which time we will send you a notification email and your order will be sent for fulfillment."

I'm still holding on that I will receive all three calendars in time for Christmas. Good luck to all that ordered.
