After several days of discussions, I scheduled an appointment to view equipment that was advertised for sale. I spent several thousand dollars on airfare and a rental car to attend the appointment. When I arrived at the agreed-upon location, I found the building empty, with what appeared to be feces or mud smeared on the door and the words “F U” written across it. I attempted to contact the phone number I had previously been communicating with, but discovered that my number had been blocked. I then called from a different number and the call was disconnected after I explained that I had an appointment. When I called from a third number to request an appointment, I was asked whether I had just called. I explained that I had a scheduled appointment for that day, at which point the call was ended and that number was also blocked.
