I inquired about renting a house from a Facebook Marketplace listing:

A picture listed a phone number and indicated to call or text for more information:

I texted and received a response about 2 hours later. They gave incorrect information about the house (for example, that it had 2 bedrooms instead of the correct 3 which were listed on other real estate websites). They were pushy about filling out the application form today. The application form was a Google doc:

The form was poorly written and the texts had poor grammar and English.

Someone called me from the number when I hadn't replied about filling out the form after 30 minutes. It sounded like an Asian man. The Facebook profile the listing was on was for Diamond Gilyard. Diamond Gilyard lives in Alabama according to Facebook. The phone number has a Utah area code. The house is in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I was online I was looking for a home. I was contacted by Michael Smith at 901-207-8004, 303-943-2158. He sent me a code to look at the house on 3/4/2023. I went to see the house he sent me a application I filled the application out and sent a $ 750.00 deposit for the rental house. I sent payment to Yocasta Melendez at Zelle phone number is 862-262-7707. I contacted my bank to cancel the transaction it was to late. My bank contact Zelle the reference number is 15257892. I was told Zelle denied it. I want to dispute the transaction and get my refund back. I was told by the bank that Zelle can recover my money. Will you please help me recover my funds. After they accepted my rental application they asked me "have you heard of western union?" Promising I could trust them because they were devout Catholics even quoting the bible "the truth and only the truth will set you free". When I asked for the simplest proof of who they are; neighbors names and the side they lived on they got agitated and quickly ended the conversstion

They add states it 7734 Dutch loop in fountain co for 1225 all utilities included they claimed they were relocated due to job to Arlington Washington and says they are looking for some one to rent long term and to western union a deposit to hold the rental to > Tessa Horne and then they will FedEx you the keys and contract.

Unfortunately we wired $2085 and after not receiving anything we went by and rang the door bell and there is someone living there stating it's a fraud it's not for rent.
