These people pretend to be the real Global Entry site and get you to renew your registration. They took $149.00 via PayPal for their own "work" but also were charging 100.00 for the actual fee registration, apprently some time in the future, since my actual card doesn't expire until January 2024. THE BIG PROBLEM: They collected personal information. A lot.

Googled, global entry app... wasn’t paying close attention as I should submitted my information and they took my money now trying to get it back via PayPal.

I had to put my passport information , drivers licenses, address and personal information.

I searched for TSA application for Global Entry for my wife and stupidly picked a site that looked like the official TSA (Statue of Liberty icon). I entered all her personal data and gave them a credit card number to pay for the service. I also gave them my account and routing number for the background check fee. Fortunately I heard about the scam on national news the very next day and after a double check (not a dot gov site) realized my mistake. I went to my bank and reversed the one charge and opened a new account. I contacted my CC company and told them to contest the other charge. I also froze her account with each credit company. We've read up on this and plan to have DMV re-issue her drivers license. Thinking the same for her passport, but that takes longer.
