I thought I was being contacted by a friend, who started telling me about a UN grant program. It seemed unlikely but I asked about it. They told me to text the number (213) 478-3385, address the "agent" as "sir" and inquire about the grant. They told me they themselves got $30k. They said it would be overnight and mentioned the name Frances Duncan.

This person, Frances Duncan, contacted me - 72 years old - through a shared connection with an old high school buddy of mine via a FB message about receiving a huge US government cash grant if I paid an upfront big delivery fee. My friend claimed she was legitimate and that he had already received money through this program. I believe the delivery fee was to be $3,000.00 to be paid in advance., which I never did This seemed very suspicious to me and she started bugging me frequently about getting the initial cash to her.
