A guy named Tom Fernandes (claims to be an art collector) contacted me via email ([email protected]), offering to buy my art as NFTs for $3,500 each for his "art show." Sounded too good to be true, so I checked it out.

We later on moved to speaking on Telegram, his account name on it is u/thomasfernandes885

(in his email, his instagram and website were also attached, and they have nothing in common between them

Turns out, he was pushing me to mint my work on an obscure NFT platform (niftora.online) and asking me to pay upfront minting fees. When I told him I couldn’t afford it, he suddenly offered to "cover part of it"—a classic scam tactic to get me to send any money.

Thankfully I didn't fall for it at the end, but please, if you know any artists who's work is on Bechance or Instagram, PLEASE warn them. This guy is very convincing.
