- Salt Lake City, UT, USA • Mar 13, 2025

I was contacted by text from Advance America. Via text, I was offered a loan. When contacted via phone by the Accounting Manager, he stated that to confirm my bank account is legitimate, Advance America would deposit $991.50 to my bank account. I was then asked to transfer that money to a different platform (Cash App) and send it back to Advance America.

I provided Advance America with my banking information and other personal data. Advance America texted me a screenshot confirming the deposit of $991.50 to my account. I then transferred the available money ($400) from my bank account to my Cash App. When attempting to transfer that money to Advance America via designated individuals (Carter, Adrian Reyes), I received a warning from Cash App that the payment was cancelled for my protection due to suspected fraud.
