So this "business" initially texted me once before on a different number back in June, asking about the same address, but this time, I played along so I could get the name of their business and stuff.

They asked about a street address, not specifying city or state, asking if I'd consider selling it. I have never once lived at an address similar to what they asked. (As previously mentioned, they asked about the same address in the previous message as well.) I played along, though, just to see who they were and what they'd want. They asked various questions regarding the state of the house and if there had been any recent updates. I said a few silly things in response here and there just to see if they'd react but they didn't seem to catch on that this may have been a troll. After the questions, they said their purchase manager would call to discuss an offer the following day. They had another number confirm the "appointment" phone call that included the time, the name of the business, and their website. I looked here to see if they came up. (Spoiler alert, they didn't.) But ya, turns out, they're one of those "buy houses quick" businesses that probably flip houses. The reason I think this is a scam is because, again, I've never once lived at an address similar to this. Why are they texting people regarding random addresses?
