The scammer posted job applications for Marketing & Design roles. As part of their application, they would require candidates to do a "Take Home Assessment". This take home assessment involved doing real client work, where the applicant's work would be directly used and sold to their clients. For example, they asked to redesign https:/********************* , and specifically referenced the assignment as client work. There are other instances of reports of this on their glassdoor reviews, so I believe this to be a widespread issue.

The companies Highland solutions reached out to me offering a job. They then said they were going to contact me on WhatsApp. A “Tutor” named Melissa with the WhatsApp number +1 (424) 867-7271 instructed me to sign up for an account on the website (https://highlandsolutions.cc/). After signing up I was told that I had to deposit $20 to start my account and I would be able to work in my account. After depositing and completing the first day I received a payout which made it appear to be legit. But on the third day I had received what is called a “Lucky” order which put your account into the negative. This negative amount was over $4,000 or $6,000 dollars. I was forced to deposit $2700 dollars to get and get help from the tutor to cover the rest. After that Highland solutions AI system gave me another “Lucky” order on my last tasks of the day. This time requiring me to deposit over $18,800 to clear the negative balance and get access to the withdrawal process. This is a AI made scam that target me and preposefully gave me unaffordable orders so that I couldn’t pay them and highland solutions or another party would take my money.

Caller provided some job details. Requiring a Computer and Printer.

Detailing the job as a middle person to receive packages or pick up packages for inspection for damages then ship them off.

As soon as i started asking questions the indiv idual went on the defensive or deflected.

The Email I received was-

Initially received an email on 11/19/2024, requesting interview for a remote job opportunity. Before I saw the email. I received 2 voicemails from Camden, New Jersey #856 249-9338 stating that emails had been sent to me related to a position I applied for through Indeed..

I reviewed submitted applications on Indeed, and did not find any similar company names.

I returned the call to the Camden, New Jersey phone number. The recorded answering message did not give a company name, and requested that I leave my callback information, which I did.

I then received another email with a video to watch and was instructed that a member of HR would be reaching out to me via phone.

I began researching the company name, and phone numbers which brought me to a complaint filed November 2023 for a similar scenario.

This complaint was filed by an individual that had used Indeed employment services as well.

I haven’t received the “interview” call back as of this writing, but it’s only been 15 minutes since I received the last email.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a concerning incident involving a staffing firm that reached out to me under the guise of a job opportunity. The interaction appears to have been a fraudulent attempt to collect my personal information. Below are the details of the incident: 1. Initial Contact On September 16, 2024, I was contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn, claiming to represent a staffing firm, KeenLogic. The recruiter informed me that they had a full-time, long-term Resource and Financial Analyst position available with the House of Representatives. After reviewing my profile, they suggested I would be an ideal fit for the role and mentioned that only a brief pre-screening call was required to move forward. 2. Recruitment Process After expressing my interest, the recruiter provided a job description and requested that I submit my resume and suggest a few available times for a pre-screening call. I inquired about the timeline for hiring and whether the position was confirmed as open. The recruiter confirmed that the role was actively hiring, with an anticipated start date in early to mid-October. 3. Mismanagement of Personal Information Immediately after submitting my resume, I was informed that the position was no longer open. Concerned about how my personal information was being handled, I asked the recruiter to confirm the deletion of my data if the role was no longer available. However, during our communication, the recruiter mistakenly sent me another individual's resume. This breach of privacy not only violated data protection protocols but also raised serious concerns about the legitimacy of their recruitment process. 4. Discovery of Fraudulent Intent Given the inconsistencies and privacy breach, I conducted further research and attempted to reach out directly to the company that was supposedly hiring for this position. Unfortunately, my inquiries went unanswered, further solidifying my suspicion that the job posting was fabricated. Upon confronting the recruiter about the conflicting information and privacy concerns, they abruptly blocked me on LinkedIn. This action, combined with the lack of response from the alleged employer, leads me to believe that the entire interaction was a scam designed to collect personal information under false pretenses. 5. Request for Investigation I am deeply concerned that my personal information may have been collected and potentially misused by this staffing firm. I am reporting this incident to request a formal investigation into the practices of this recruiter and their firm. I believe this behavior is unethical, unprofessional, and possibly illegal. I would appreciate any assistance the ScamPulse.com can provide in investigating this matter. Additionally, I am requesting that this company be held accountable for their deceptive practices and misuse of personal information. Thank you for your attention to this serious issue. A Mr. Stephen Henderson reached out to me about a QA Engineering position with a company called MasTec Inc. First he said they were finalizing there list of candidates and wanted to know if I was still interested. In the next email he had told me that I had been selected to move forward and sent me a questionnaire .pdf to fill out. I filled out the .pdf (which seemed odd) sent it back to him. About three days later he emailed me and told me that they were making me a full time offer of $70 per hour and that my official offer letter would be emailed shortly, official offer letter arrived about 40mins later, written on company letter head, everything looked correct until you got down to the second page where it said that I would need to purchase specific equipment for the role and after 16 weeks of continuous employment I was going to get to keep the equipment. My official start date was to be the 12Nov 24, I signed the offer, and about a hour later a digital check was emailed to me to deposit into my account, "MasTec was paying for me, to order all the equipment, a Mac book Pro, 24' Apple Monitor, printer, etc. so I called the bank, the routing number and account number was correct however the name on the check vs the name on the account was different. So I deposited it into my savings account, and informed Stephen that I had done that and that the bank had put a hold on the funds till the 5th of Nov and he said that when the bank cleared it, I was going to need to send a Venmo payment to their approved vender in order to get the equipment. Since telling him this, I have not heard anything more from him, I have tried to call him and email him, and the as of today the funds were sent back to the bank.

I have even reached out to MasTec thru their website to verify any of this information and have never received a response from them, I have tried calling them, emailing even reaching out to current employees on linkdein, no responses from anyone as of this complaint.

I started out the chat with a "friend" of mine sharing my information with this "Hiring Manager". The "Hiring Manager" texted me saying,

My name is Sara Hutchins The Hiring Manager to the firm LUXOFT COMPANY I am here to brief and interview you more about the opening position, Please introduce yourself, indicating Sex, Age, indicating your location Your recruiter name.

I went on to give this person my name, address, phone number, and then she asked for my my bank account login and password and security question answers. I didn't give her my account information, password, username, and security answers.

When I asked why she needed my account login and not just my account number and routing number, she told me to just "trust the company" and "my information is safe with the company". When I asked for her supervisors name and phone number, she ignored the questions and went on to tell me that I can trust her %100 with my information.

I received an email on 9/30/2024 @ 2:14pm stating that they found my information on Linekdin and was reaching out to setup an interview. I was advised that it would be an interview online through RingCentral. The interview consisted of a questionnaire. I went through the whole interview process and was advised that I would hear something in 24 to 48 hours. I received the job offer on 10/2/2024 from their HR department, along with an acceptance offer. I was advised that I had until noon on 10/4/2024 to send back the acceptance offer. I did reach out with a couple of questions which I never received a response for. I sent back the offer letter with signature and date and was notified that the employee handbook and a startup check was being mailed. I never received either. The communication is nonexistent. I got suspicious and tried to locate this company on the Better Business website and had no look locating it.

At first, everything sounded legitimate. As our conversation went on, she said she was gonna email me a check for $2300.00 to purchase their equipment with for the job I was to do for them. I told her I had never heard of anyone emailing a check to be deposited on my mobile banking app and was not sure how that worked. I asked her why they did not just send you the required equipment they required to do the job with. She insisted it be done the way she said. When I told her there was no place on my mobile banking app to deposit a check, she called me a liar and said she was going to report me. Very shady lady and many things she said that did not add up so to speak or make any sense whatsoever. Belittled me often through the conversation and even said she did not understand why I could not follow simple instructions.

Initial contact via text messaging on 24Oct24. After initial discussion, a MS Teams chat was started by another individual. After that discussion, an email was sent to me from another individual. Email addresses, domains, and other information did not match up to the proposed company I was being hired to. Multiple red flags for potential fraud. Document created with the text and MS Teams communications as well as PDF documents with the front and back of a check they wanted me to electronically deposit into my checking account to pay for hardware. Another red flag. No deposit was made as this does not feel legit.

I was messaged a job offer from an overseas company looking to further establish their footprint in the United States and asked knowledgeable questions regarding the position being offered. I was also asked if I would be willing to spend at least $500 to download software for the position which would be "reimbursed" by the company. I was making communication with the scam artist via Teams Messenger and email. I was asked to answer word documents for the position and answer questions as previously mentioned. The person asked for direct deposit information which I was reluctant to provide, thus I did not only the company. The person sent me fake checks to my home address for 10 times the amount specified would be needed. After going to a bank teller, I was told the check was fake and I was a victim of a scam, I messaged the person in return telling them what I learned and they said "(bank) can be so weird sometimes", I responded by saying no.. I don't know any company willing to send a random person $5,000 for training. The following day I received another fake check via the same method through FedEx envelope at my door and told the person I would report them and the person immediately got offline
