Employment - ReShipping Scam Reports & Reviews – Page 6 (115)

I applied for a Quality Inspector position for this company name Daigio, LLC advertised on Indeed. After applying the HR manager name "Martha Stone" called me the next day or two asking if I have time to do a phone interview. Since the phone interview, the HR manager contact back to a day later offering me the position, including emailing me the employment agreement and W2 form and I filed it to the HR manager afterwards. Once that was settled, the HR manager emailed me instructions to how to set up my profile account because I would have to keep constant communication with this supervisor name "John Ross". I finished setting up the account and soon as that was done the supervisor sent me my first task and short description of what I'm suppose to be doing which didn't fully make sense to me. From my understanding, I was supposely wait for packages from these clients to my house, report that it arrived and it's the item that's inside correct, inspect the item, then the supervisor is suppose to send me a shipping label and send it off to a local UPS store or FedEx. Mind you they haven't trained and I had to wait for package that hasn't showed up which as been 2-3 weeks. I messaged the supervisor that the packaged didn't show up, so he reassign me to another task and told me another package should be there in a couple days. Again, the package never arrived so I tried to communicute to him that the package never came and even asked if I could have another number to call the HR manager. The number that the HR manager called me from can't reach out anymore because now its saying "user busy". Before I even asked the supervisor to give another number I can call from, I emailed the HR manager a question of when are we getting paid and will it be direct deposit. Since then, I haven't heard from the HR manager and supervisor. In addiction, I looked up their company and it was no where to be found and the address is located at a office rental name Jays suites.

I cannot sign in to the site and no one would contact me back.

They'll send items to your home you package and send out. Your first two weeks you have to pay for fee and supplies. But they'll eventually reimburse you. You make $5 for each package sent. So you supposed to make $1500/biweekly and $3000/ month.. I was sent a contract to sign send back. Never signed or sent back. I looked over my application on indeed, where he claimed I filled out for the job. Don't have in records of a job description of that sort. The individual contacted me for a job as a quality control investigator to have packages sent to my home for inspection then to take packages to Fedex to ship. My mother said it was a scam and to contact you.

The person offered me a job with this link to their website. The link, when clicked, goes to a list of job obligations including repackaging and shipping items for the company. I was never officially interviewed before receiving the job.

I didn’t realize it was a fraud and gave the woman my address and name where she is supposedly to send me a check and items for repackage. I didn’t realize it’s fraudulence until reading the signs of fraud listed on the ScamPulse.com website.

Just relocated to a new state and needed a job badly. Signed up on every job board I could think of and updated the resume. Got contacted by an individual who goes by "Dr Chris McKinney" and interviewed via Microsoft Teams. Later I was told they were impressed and I started getting files to print out and send back, including an employment offer on Alida Letterhead and a W-4 form. Also included a photo of my ID to confirm citizen status. Was told to expect a "package" to help me purchase the equipment I would need for the job, which was something akin to an administrative department executive. Several mornings running I was asked to log in to teams by 0800 hours, and then by email I would receive "tasks" to complete with a time limit. Once that was done, my contact, my ONLY point of contact, would relay the "Head Dept" grading of my task. Often it occurred to me that the contact was not a native English speaker, but I did not raise this concern. The "package" never arrived. The tracking number provided states that it did. Suddenly the plan changed. I was now going to lead a team of between 3 and 6 other people, doing what, I still don't know. To do this required a work phone, which at the time made sense. No way I want to attach my personal phone to ANY business. So I agreed and they asked my carrier. I replied and was told to go to their store as their software worked best with very specific devices- in this case an IPhone 14 Pro Max. My local store did not have this, so the story changed and I managed to find a 14Pro and sent it off to an address I was given in Texas... the name was "LIFE STORAGE- iPraise". This seemed odd to me but I didn't have to pay out of pocket for this second line and the company promised to pay the monthly bill. Next day I'm told my contact misspoke and I was supposed to have gotten FIVE phones, no just one. When I asked why, O was told that my "team" all needed a way to get in touch with me. They even changed their mind about the iPhone, saying now that the Samsung S22 (which the local store had in stock) would suffice as well. When I asked why I had to open an account vice them, I was told it was so I could be in control of the network of devices. I refused to pay for phones I would never use, so I was given credit card information that came back to an individual female out of Illinois. The card cleared and I was the proud papa of a miniature stable of cutting edge new phones. I was then asked to provide the tracking number and directed to "call them and arrange to pick it up in person". By now every red flag had been tripped, but I still did not have a solid job offer elsewhere. When the phones arrived, I was told to photo them and forward the photos, but just the boxes. Not even to take them out of the box. Again I found this strange. I asked where these should go, and was given an entirely different address in Richmond, TX to what looked to me like a common Nigerian name.
