I Google searched for Kuhl brand women’s pants on sale. A website came up with just that. I selected and ordered two pair of pants, totaling $120. I paid using a credit card. I don’t recall the name of the website. I didn’t get an order confirmation email, I got a text confirmation, but all of the fields in the text that should have contained details of my order were just generic text, “Thanks for shopping at #domain name #. Order No. #order_number# confirmed. View it at #Order_Status_URL#. Any inquiries, contact us #email_Account #.@“. So nowhere in this text was there details specific to my order. I replied to their text and got no response. That number was 1-757-909-9723. I did receive an email from PayPal confirming a purchase in the amount of $120, but the details provided to them by the merchant were also void of details. They supplied a merchant ID order ID but regarding what was actually ordered all they had was quantity one in total of $120. I did receive some thing from the merchant. Two pieces of costume jewelry rings, obviously nothing like two pair of pants. Since I never got a response when I replied to the merchant’s text, I used the merchants email address that was on the PayPal confirmation email. The merchant responded promptly and asked for photos of what was sent to me so they could research what happened. When they acknowledged there was an error, first they offered me a $12 coupon, then they offered me a $15 coupon. When I continue to push for a refund they said they would only refund my money if I paid to send the merchandise back and they would issue the refund once they received it. I’m assuming somewhere in Asia but the country was never specified. They eventually just stopped responding. When I tried to dispute the charge with my credit card company, they closed the dispute due to me not having proof of what I actually ordered (nothing to show I ordered pants). They suggested I contact PayPal to see if they could get further details from their end since the merchant went through PayPal. When I contacted PayPal they agree that there were no details regarding what I ordered and attempted to look up the URL provided to them by the merchant; however, that website was invalid. So now I am left with no way to dispute with this merchant since they refuse to make things right because they knew not to send any details about what I ordered knowing the credit card company cannot take funds from them without having that information. The only ‘driveato’ website that I can find now has the same costume jewelry on it. I would assume it is the same company, but I have no way to verify.
