Domain Name Services Reports & Reviews (38)

- Los Osos, CA, USA • Apr 20, 2026

They sent a document in the mail with Domain Name Services at the top and website www.rvmx.com, saying that I needed to renew my domain name and if I did not, I would lose access to my online presence. They have a way of telling people how to pay via mail or online and are charging an exuberant amount to manage a domain name ($265 for 5 years in this case).

- Knoxville, TN, USA • Mar 25, 2026

I was sent by mail, "as a courtesy" a letter stating that my domain name is due to expire and their services would cut me a good deal on renewing my name. LIES!

- Rocky Mount, NC, USA • Mar 05, 2026

Domain Name: taylorfinancialrmt.com received an invoice in the mail for 5 year renewal of our domain name for $265. There is no phone number on the invoice to call.

- Little Falls, NY, USA • Dec 01, 2025

Supposed business sent a letter in the mail which told us that our business has to renew our domain name to retain the rights to it. They listed our company website name and said that we had to pay $265.00 to be covered for the next 5 years, but did not provide an email address or phone number to reach out to the company. The letter will be attached below.

- Saint Paul, MN, USA • Nov 06, 2025

The fake "company" mailed us a fake invoice to transfer/renew our website domain to their service. They claimed that it must be done asap and that our website is at risk if we don't renew. It is clearly fake and also more than 10x the real cost of renewing our domain through our actual domain provider.

- Springville, NY, USA • Jul 23, 2025

Domain Name services mailed a "solicitation" to obtain access to our business's website registration and charge us a fee of $265.00 to "renew" our registration. Their mailing is purposefully designed to mimic a bill to trick people into sending them money and website access. In small print in the middle of the mailing, they do state "this notice is not a bill," but is is easily missed. This current "solicitation" does not include a method to contact them to remove our contact information from their listings. We've previously received another "solicitation" in January 2025 by the name of "domain listings", which included a do not contact method. We previously sent an email to remove our contact information, but obviously that has not happened. We assume that they are using an ai website dredger to obtain our contact information. Also, their return address leads to a Buffalo UPS store. They must be using the UPS services, mail boxes, as a method to obtain our information and money.

- Coldwater, MS, USA

Domain Name Services contacts people that have legitimate, legal domain names registered to them. They represent themselves as being in charge of the domain registration in an attempt to collect fees that are not theirs to collect. The wording in their letters is basically a scare tactic. They do include a disclaimer stating that 'this is not a bill, it is rather an easy means of payment should you decide to switch your domain name registration to Domain Name Services'.

- Flagstaff, AZ, USA

The Scammer Company (Domain Name Services LLC) engages in deceptive advertising and scare tactics that make it look like your domain (Website) will expire while sending a 5-year renewal bill. They mail fake bills worded in a way that makes it seem like you must pay them in order to keep your site live. Once you pay it it will move the domain to their service, VERY DECEPTIVE AND should be shut down. They send this out in hopes someone will just pay it and not know any better.

There are over 50 complaints on ScamPulse.com stating the same thing. Please shut them down. No phone or email address to call.

- Huntington Station, NY, USA

The scammer marketed themselves as owners of my domain name, purporting to allow me to renew my domain registration. They are not the holders of the domain name, and do not make that particularly clear. They also stamp the envelope with "Renewal Information Enclosed - OPEN IMMEDIATELY" which is a scare tactic. They are not able to renew my domain, because they are not the original registration company. Everything about it looks shady, and it already has many bad reviews on Yelp, which further confirmed my suspicions that the "offer" enclosed was a scam.

- Colorado Springs, CO, USA

Invoice sent through mail for fake services to our company. I could upload the invoice if there was a place to upload.

- Fontana, CA, USA

Claimed that I needed to renew my domain name which was not provide through them. They offered 5 years at a rate of $265. There was no phone number listed on the letter and only a website to make a payment with.

- Hallstead, PA, USA

This company targets online companies about to resubscribe and pay for their domain name. They sent our nonprofit a bill for five years online domain subscription for $265 and then we got our actual bill from the legitimate vender soon after. The scam company with a mail permit 71 out of Farmingdale, NY sent us another bill a year later for five more years of scamming. I reported it to our bank but they did not get our money back.

Claiming that our domain name registration is expiring June24 2024 and take advantage of their best savings for 5 years $265 until June 24 2029. Send a check to the address above in an addressed envelope or send credit card information in the enclosed envelope.

- Ramona, CA, USA

Received a letter to renew a domain name that is already provided by the ***.

- Skaneateles, NY, USA

Offered to renew domain name for 5 years for $265.

- Cedar Rapids, IA, USA

Domain Name Services sent me a self-addressed envelope and letter with a detachable invoice stating my domain name ******************* was about to expire and I can either mail the invoice pre-filled out for $265 good for 5 years with a check or credit card information. I tried calling their number twice to see what 1 year would cost instead. I left a voice mail both times and nobody called back.

- Eagle Butte, SD, USA

A letter to renew our online domain services was received and paid by our HR without any second thought about checking with IT about the current vendor the establishment receives the said services truly from. An expense check in the amount of $265.00 was sent on the 17th of January and was shown it was received on the 5th of February.

- Madison, WI, USA

A letter came asking about a domain name set to expire. Which is odd in itself as the domain in question is registered using ****** *******. While the letter says that they're transferring a domain name to their service, on first glance it appears as the domain registrar. This is a very deceptive practice.

- Dearborn, MI, USA

This scam was mailed out to our business and we just updated our site. I don't know if that is how they tried to scam us.

- Hailey, ID, USA

I received a letter saying that I must renew my domain name to retain my exclusive rights to it n the web. Failure to renew my domain name by the expiration date (provided by them) will result in the loss of my domain name and online identity. Upon further reading, the payment would have switched my account to this new service.
