My husband was looking for health insurance and was contacted by Coastal Insurance Agency saying they partnered with First Health Network, with Aetna. They said we could get health insurance for $450 a month through First Health Network. There was a higher co-pay but no deductible and coverage for everything. We stayed with them for 5 months to total $2,250. I did see a few red flags, for example they said they could not send me an insurance card with my name on it and that it is ok if it only says my husband's name, the insurance card seemed really flimsy, and they kept saying that I was covered by True Health and Good Health Distribution Partners. I looked at getting NJ healthcare to compare and it just wasn't making sense. But we had been traveling and working so much, I hadn't had time to look into it. When we got new jobs, our income changed and I called them to report that we had a lower income and they did not ask for any proof of income. I called the number for the insurance company and they told me to go ahead and make appointments, and they answered all my questions with BS. Since I hadn't been to the doctor's in a few years, I thought that I would go ahead and just set up a few appointment. But one by one, the doctors' office called me to inform me that what I had was not insurance and not affiliated with the real First Health Network. Then I googled the numbers, company's names, and logos and found that a lot of other people were experiencing the same thing. So I had to call and cancel all the appointments. We were scammed out of $2,250 total, that is $450 a month for 5 months. Now we have no health insurance and I have been wanting to go to the doctor because I have been having a lot of pain in my back and hips and have been sick a lot lately.
