Contacted by Jasmine Chen via instant messenger. She got me to move to WhatsApp chat app. She escalated the online relationship over a few weeks of chatting. She painted herself as a successful woman in trading cryptocurrency. She got me to invest 2k at first on a trading website mdexus.com. I lost $340 of the 2K. She showed me how to withdraw my funds snd get it back to my savings account. A few weeks later she talked me into investing 12K and she supposedly added 10k to get the trade amount sbove $20k. Several short trades later the mdexus.com site showed i had $114k in funds. I told Jasmine I wanted to withdraw my original 12k, she was resistant but finally told me to withdraw the full 113k. When I attempted to do the withdraw it was put on hold and I got an email from mdexus.com stating that I had to pay 20k in taxes before the funds would be withdrawn. They refused to deduct the tax from the withdrawal amount. They refused to provide the rule that stated I must pay tax to them. I’m convinced mdexus.com is a scam site and the woman is involved in the sites operation. The woman did provide my a photo of her drivers license but it turned out to be a forgery.
