Cryptocurrency Job Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

- Hensley, AR, USA • May 16, 2025

I was contacted via text about a job. I asked them to send me the information. They then asked if I had WhatsApp. I told them I had downloaded it but had never used it. They said the next person with the job details would reach out to me on WhatsApp.

I received a message from someone named Helen. She asked a few questions via WhatsApp and told me she would be my trainer. She had me use CashApp, and over the course of two days, I was going back and forth between the website, CashApp, and WhatsApp to get everything set up. It was supposed to take a third day to receive the money I had “earned” during training.

I got busy and didn’t complete the training. Helen told me that once training was finished, I’d be making $600 a week for about 30 minutes of work per day. It wasn’t until the second day that she mentioned the job involved buying and selling Bitcoin. She also told me I needed to keep $150 in the account at all times so the system would recognize me as a human.

Well, I just got a call from my bank’s fraud department about unusual transactions on my debit card. I will not be contacting Helen again. I guess I’ll have to chalk this up as a $38 learning experience—and make a trip to the bank to get a new debit card.
