I was initially contacted by ‘Sara’ on Thursday 01/24/19 to set up an interview at their offices.

She sent me a text with all the information.

I arrived at the address (37-02 Astoria BLVD 2nd floor Suite 202 Queens NY, 11103) for my 1:30 appointment and am asked to fill out a form.

Once I filled it out, I was sent into a ‘bar’ themed room for my interview. Once in the interview I was told that I would have to pay to be a licensed bartender and that they would also aid me with my liquor license. The price they ‘discounted’ for me because I had servsafe certifications and asked for $310. I was very skeptical but I figured I’d give it a try to potentially get a liquor license. I then paid by card and signed a paper saying everything is non-refundable and was given a packet to prepare me for my test. We set up a testing date and I exited the building. I left very uneasy and dug deeper into the company to find many have been scammed the same way.

I found this place on Indeed.com thinking they were a legit job placement agency. The building was small, but inviting. The place they had rented was a pretty roomy place that had a bar where my interview was held. The interview went pretty well and I was hired to start. I was told before I went that I had to pay a registration fee to take the test. Since it was for handling liquor I paid it and of course it was nonrefundable. I was given material for the next appointment I'm suppose to have this upcoming Friday to take a test so that I can get a certification. That fee is about $235 then they want to charge a 345 Job placement fee. Both fees are nonrefundable.

I was browsing on Craigslist’s for Bartending jobs and came across their ad. They claim their looking for sexy bartenders to join their team so I called and no. One answered. Couple hours later someone called me back by the name Elizabeth she asked me if im interested and forgot I had called them so I asked what’s the company and she says Night Life entertainment instead of saying Created For A Purpose. So I set up a interview with them for the next day and she says oh you don’t have to pay anything but a $110 for the certificate to sell alcohol so I said okay that’s fine. She says bring it just in case you’re hired on the spot. She gives me a little info on how much I would be paid. Said I would be trained if I don’t have any experience and so on. Then gives me the address and tells me to call the office when I arrive so someone can come

downstairs to get me. Next day I get to 34th penn station and I call as soon as I get out the train station. I tell the lady I had a interview at 11 and didnt know the location. So she tells me come to Wyndham Hotel right on 8th ave I was right across the street so all I did was cross the street and the hotel was right there. She says wait in lobby & I’ll be right down. We go upstairs and get to a small office and fill out a application and she asked for my ID. The hiring manager comes out after I’m done with filling out the paperwork and we go into her office. She interviews me and the lady finally says I like you I think you would be a good fit so you’re hired. You need to take a exam and once you pass you get a certificate and immediately we help place you at a site to work. You train for two days then the third day you’re on your own. Then goes on to say do you have the $110 I need that today because that just a deposit then you have to pay a remaining balance of $235 in order to take the exam & receive your certificate. First red flag I should of seen was the fact that Elizabeth, the woman I spoke to the day before said all I had to pay was $110 she didn’t say anything about a extra $235 which would be a total of $345. So I give her the $110 she gives me a receipt let’s me know it’s non refundable and gives me all the materials for my exam that’s in a couple of days. She proceeds to tell me congratulations & shakes my hand and I take everything and leave out. Then when I got home now that I know they go by create a purpose LLC I decided to look them up on google and immediately seen a whole bunch of bad reviews saying they company was a scam. So it’s funnny how the woman Elizabeth told me the company was called NightLife entertainment the day before instead of Create a purpose LLC. So I know the day before she didn’t tell me the real company name so I wouldn’t google them and see all the bad reviews. Also that they were a SCAM!!!!! I didn’t go to take the test yet because I seen all the bad reviews of saying the company is a scam so they didn’t get a chance to get the whole $345 out of me but definitely received my $110 which was my last.

This organizations states they can help you obtain employment in the night club industry. As long as you pay then approx 300 and take a test within the same week. However, this is not a national certification and they advertise it as such and being accepted everywhere (indeed it is not). and they actually make not effort in helping you find employment and find it near impossible to obtain a refund.

Fraud company posting ads on Craigslist targeting individuals seeking employment in the service industry. They have several locations they work out of such as the 1 listed above as well at 211 E 43rd Street Suite 732 New York, NY 10017 and 481 8th Ave (Wyndam New Yorker Hotel) Suite 616 and 617. They say they are a company that helps with job placement at nightclubs and help you get bartending license for New York State. Initial meeting they con you out off $110 then say you pay another $200 after exam. Once pass exam you are supposed to be rewarded with license and job placement.

The scam at Created for a purpose LLC, they guaranteed job placement and training for bartender, and bottle service with many more job opportunities. So they tell you they have jobs available now and you need to hurry and get certified and pay $310 for the training to start. After you pay they just give some sheets to study like for example top 10 drinks, glassware, and drink types. Once you pass they just give you a sheet with the job location and the time to be there. But once you meet the Manager at the restaurant they have no idea who Created for a purpose LLC is. Because they just basic look for jobs on craigslist and tell you to show up.

Boss of this establishment promotes modeling, bartending, and acting. They are a scam! They say they will get you jobs from different agencies but do not. They ask for $250 upfront and give you a fake certificates and never deliver on their promises. When you try and contact them again the boss keeps giving you the run around saying she will meet up with you to discuss issues but then later calls saying she's in a "meeting" or "out of town" and you are not able to get in contact ever again after that.
