Received the call & they left a voice mail. I did not answer the call nor call them back. After researching the number & message, I am confident that this was a scam.

Message received is as follows:

"Hello: this voicemail is from Comcast Xfinity. Your account is no longer under promotional billing. The 50% discount on your monthly bill has been terminated. Please call us back on the number showing on your caller ID to reactivate this offer."

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA • May 13, 2025

I receieved a call and a voicemail was left in the afternoon on 5.13.25, claiming that Xfinity/Comcast is going to cancel my 50% reduction in monthly costs due to no activity on my end. I do not subscribe to or use Xfinity Comcast this is clearly a scam. I did not call them back.

A foreign speaking gentleman answered my call back after I received a msg. about expiring 50% discount. I called to inform them that I don’t have an Xfinity acct. He then replied, *** MY ***! I told him he was sick & hung up!

Google number for Xfiinity customer service and got a 877-982-4478, not them and they charged to cancel my service. Called the real Xfinity and they told me there was not a charge to cancel service.

I was called, when I answered there was no response. I called back and was asked if I used xfinity and if my number was associated with an account. When I told them it shouldn’t be associated with any account, instead of asking how my number would be associated, I was hung up on. I called back again, to inquire why I was hung up on previously by the other gentleman with no answer to my question and was hung up on yet again. I called back a third time to possibly speak to a supervisor, I got the same man, upon realizing I got the same man 3 times in a different “department”, I then informed him I’d be reposting them, to which he responded and then what are they going to do. There are many people out here who don’t understand scams, and they are just getting worse. Please address this issue and I know I’m not the only person they are targeting.

04-10-2025: Hello, this voicemail is from Comcast Xfinity. Your 50% discount on your monthly bill is set to expire today and your next bill will reflect the standard rate. To continue receiving this benefit please return our call at the number displayed on your caller ID before it's too later. Thank you.

04-12-2035: The person I spoke to said his name was Phil at 813.212.1319. After he explained the promotion because he stated I am a Senior ($45/mo for the next 3-yrs but you will pay nothing the 1st yr by making a payment with two Target gift cards of $270/ea; thereafter, you will receive a Visa gift card in the amt of $50 in two business days) he told me to call 833.341.2349 to provide the promotion code: XSM7442 and the gift card access# & card#.

Then I received a text message from 201-564-5482: "Special Xfinity Promotion!Get a $540 Target gift card. When you sign up with limited-time offer! Call 833-341-2349." Somehow they knew my Xfinity contract was about to expire so was offered a 3-yr special of paying $45/mo but had to pay by Target gift card for 1st year with paying $540. I spoke with an Xfinity representative & they assured me my account was secured & that they would report this scam to their security team. 04-14-2025: I received several calls saying Xfinity has detected a problem with my Target payment; thus, my payment is stuck.

Calling about a 50% discount that I need to contact them or I will lose it.

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA • Mar 26, 2025

received unsolicited phone message claiming to be Xfinity / Comcast to report my service would soon expire, then proceeded to give me fantastic deal of 36 month contract for combined internet and cable TV for $30 per month. As closer he (Ross - extn 831) said I should pay $540 down for first 18 mos as part of this PROMO that was SPONSORED by Target. I asked why I was not told of this offer March 3 when I contacted Xfinity/Comcast and "Ross" said this was new promo. He was perturbed that I said I would return call in 1-2 hours after speaking with Direct TV offer on table. When I returned call he was NOT available - when they DID answer call (3 of 5 calls were not answered). Then I checked Phone # and knew they were scam.

Scammer (TX Services) represented themselves as Comcast/Xfinity. I made three credit card payments to them and the money was never applied to my Xfinity bill. I filed a dispute, canceled my credit card, and got a new credit card number.

A company, reportedly Xfinity was offering a new monthly payment plan at a reduced rate if I paid a year in advance. This program was co-sponsored with Target. To pay, $1,200.00 for the year I had to purchase 4-$300 Target gift cards and phone the numbers to Xfinity. When you called Xfinity voice and selection options were given. You had to talk with a service person. Mine was Bruce Williams. I purchased the cards from Meijers south. This all occurred on Wednesday the 12th. Thursday I received this text message in the afternoon. "Xfinity Alert: Your services, promotion and your refund are getting canceled along with a $1000 fine. Call 1(855) 360-3530 to avoid inconvenience." I cancelled the plan immediately before hanging up the phone. I have disputed the transactions with my credit card company, talked with Meijet's and Target about refund options since the "Xfinity" company was not able to get payment from three of the cards. Neither vendor is indicated that they have the ability to refund. I have submitted a report with the FTC this afternoon. I will submit a report with the Springfield Police Department. I do not believe Meijers, Xfinity or Target business were involved but their business names were copied and used.

I called what I thought to be X-finity. Was told they were offering a promotion with target. The first 6 months needed to be pre paid with 3 target gift cards 300. each. They even credited my account 150. The next day they said it didn't go through, I needed to purchase 3 more and they would send me the 900. to cover it. I called Target, they didn't have a promo going on with X-finity

A person named Kevin Williams claimed to be employee of Xfinity Comcast. He tried to collect $500+ and also offered to give us a senior discount if we qualify and asked for birthdate and last 4 social. We contacted Xfinity and he was not an employee nor do they offer senior discount.

I gave him credit card info to pay $500 due which he attempted to get but my credit card company refused as fraudulent ..I have cancelled credit card

He has called 8+ in a row on both cell phone and land line also leaving messages. Xfinity thinks he got my info from email and suggested changing password.

I have also been targeted with fraud in my checking account which I had to close.

They said if I prepay Xfinity for one year by purchasing a target gifytcsrd I will get a cheaper rate for 3 years

- Minneapolis, MN, USA • Jan 09, 2025

Posed as my internet provider (Xfinity) and said that I needed to prepay 8 months worth “deposit” for my renewal, which was to be for $400 .

And had just recently renewed my Xfinity plan 2 weeks prior after a billing dispute, so I had initially thought that it was a follow call on my new plan.

Aside from my address and phone number, the scammer did not get any other information from me.

I reported the men claimimg to be from xfinity took a payment that stated it was in London. They contacted me again a little over a month again. The same person, i didn't fall for it again, i contacted xfinity and the BBB. They have reached out again in a text, stating I understand you are disputing the charge, what is the issue. Please pass this on!!!!

Person contacted me on my cell phone claiming to be from xfinity about my account being past due. He knew all of my info asto how much i owed, address etc. He wanted to help get it paid and with the longevity of my being with xfinity, they would reduce to $400 from $533. The actors were Harry and Andrew. Since i was unaware they were scammers, they called again on December 6th for another payment. I then reached out to xfinty directly.

- Circle Pines, MN, USA • Dec 11, 2024

I was on xfinity website shopping for new prices, within the hour I received a phone call stating it was Comcast Xfinity and that today is the final day to keep you 50% discount on your monthly bill, if you fail to contact us, your bill will be adjusted to the full rate. I called and they knew my internet pricing and they tried to get to to agree to a longer contract. I gave my personal information before I recognized I was being scammed,

- Elkhart, IN, USA • Dec 11, 2024

- Fort Wayne, IN, USA • Dec 09, 2024

A soon as I gave card info to pay for Internet service I received a text message for payment of $1.500 off my bank card. When I questioned the guy, he said that's how Xfinity verifies by sending a six digit code. But I remembered that Xfinity sends a confirmation number. That's when I knew that something was not right. When I asked for a supervisor, he would not give me one!

- Roanoke, VA, USA • Dec 04, 2024

Scammer called and said with Xfinity and that they could lower my bill by half for 4 months. Just have to get $620 on Target gift cards.
