The Phone showed that the call was from "Surgical Specialist". The number on my phone read : 509-324-2973 . The scammer said he was calling from Comcast and wanted to connect us to Comcast. When I said I wasn't interested, he asked why I didn't like Comcast. He was PERSISTENT and said his name was Daniel, and he wanted to keep talking to me. I said I wanted my number taken off the calling list and don't call again! And then I hung up!

Total money lost $120
Type of a scam Utility
After reporting the fraudulent charge to Capital One, the fraudulent merchant contacted the victim with a threat of violence: To paraphrase “Michael” on the phone, he said: “I used your money to buy a gun so I can come and get the rest of your money.”
"Michael" said he could offer the victim a limited-time deal: $120 for 2 months of service. The victim thought that sounded like a good deal. "Michael" told her she would have to give him her credit card details as the offer was part of a new program. The victim gave her credit card and said she would have to check with Comcast and “Michael” then assured her she would have time to cancel the program if she wanted. After checking with Comcast and verifying there was no deal available, the victim called "Michael" back and told him she didn't want the deal. He said he'd already charged her card and not to cancel it or else the charge could not be reversed. At this point, the victim began reporting the charge to her credit card company, Capital One, and canceled her card.
To date, Capital One has not closed the case, still suggesting they may once again charge the victim $120 should the merchant insist the services were rendered.
